So on the way back to the hotel we stopped by and within a short while we were best friends with the charming co-owner, Vincent, an ex-sommelier (speaks passable English). Don't expect anything too fancy as you squeeze into the table with a half dozen seats (there are also a couple of tables on the sidewalk), and we were apparently here on shipping day so the floor was overflowing with cases of wine. A steady stream of locals stopping by for a glass of wine and a bite at charcuterie at lunchtime. But Vincent really knows his wines, and if you do too, you will have a great time. We sampled what was open and then bought some special bottles to take back to the States. We also got a tour of their wine cellar, which is a very dusty basement that looked like it was dug out sometime around WWI.
