But getting my Volkswagon fixed at Sam's was literally the best car repair experience of my life. I just had to write a review because it's SO RARE to find a quality, honest mechanic like Sam! We were due for our 100,000 mile maintenance and needed some preventative service done. We were visiting Uniontown had to leave in a few days -- but Sam was generous in fitting us in during a busy week. He did a lot of research to find the parts we needed, fast (and cheaply) and gave us a solid quote (which was much cheaper than anything we would have found where we live). When we came to pick the car up, Sam was thorough and walked us through everything he did to the car. He showed us the parts he replaced and told us about some additional issues the car had that he simply took care of for us. He had checked our previous maintenance records and left us with some great tips and pointers for how to best take care of our particular type of engine. He told us how one prior mechanic messed something (small) up on the car and told us the cheapest way to fix it once we were back home. The total matched his quote exactly and we were so impressed with the whole experience. He was careful, efficient, polite, professional, totally honest -- and very, VERY reasonably priced! The dealership took no accountability or responsibility and was very dismissiv and washed thier hands with you as a custome. They bait you in to get your money. it once you leave the lot. that same friendly attitude is out the window. After months of sitting I was told the car was on the lift and things were messed with to find any play. Apparently there wasn't any he could find and could only notice a problem during a road test. went and picked the car up and made it back home to start to tear into it myself. After taking the wheel off the axle was clearly just bouncing around and broken and would move with the smallest pressure. That being said I don't believe he even had my car on a lift to touch and mess with stuff because of how clear the problem was to begin with. Posting this review to potentially save anyone else from wasting months of time or paying money on work that was either overlooked or not done at all.

Walking in to a mechanic as a stranger can sometimes be frustrating but these guys were fantastic. Very welcoming and they explained clearly what needed done and what was being done to my car.
