Remember this is a private dental practise and located within the Optical Express building on George Street. They are not cheap. An consultation will cost you about £50. But as I am unable to get proper care on the NHS I choose to be helped in a swift, efficient way that suits my time. I think that a good healthy body and a strong set of teeth should take precedent over a good night out! (costs about the same) The 2 lady dentists here are fully qualified and have numerous additional letters behind there name. As a viable alternative to your NHS dentist they stand to grow and go further. I've taken 1star off as they are expensive.. and this does give rise to why there is always a place for my booking.

It was easy to register as a new patient, and I was thrilled that Citrus is on the NHS and therefore very affordable! I had a little bit of a hard time finding this place, but Meadows Place curves so Citrus Dental (and the health clinic it's with) are along the Meadows and the higher numbers curve around away from the Meadows. Although the building is a bit nondescript from the outside, it's nice and modern inside. I saw the dentist Drew today and he was excellent. I was nervous ahead of time that it would hut, but he was extremely gentle and explained exactly what he was doing to keep me fully informed throughout the dental check and then the cleaning. I had x-rays done and couldn't believe they're only £4 on the NHS, so well worth it. After my dental check, I had the cleaning and it was pain-free and left my teeth feeling great (and only cost £10!). I'm really happy with my new dentist and, while I wouldn't say I'm excited for my next appointment (because who can be excited about the dentist?), I know I'll be in good hands when I go back in six months.

Many thanks have been bestowed on me since as he also found these guys gentle, nice and definitely affordable! Just had my 6 month check up and as usual a large amount of care was taken with my awful permanent retainer. Thumbs up all round!!

Twice a year I go for a checkup and twice for a hygenist. This permanent location is very nicely decorated and the waiting room is spacious and comfortable. Magazine and complimentary water. The machinery they use in the consult room / surgeries are top of the line. The take card when you need to pay, but you can also sign up for a 'program' of sessions - which gives you a discount when visiting and on treatments. I recommend them!

I like the fact that they have text reminders two weeks before your appointment as a reminder. The reception is always helpful and pleasant. I have had my teeth cleaned and one tooth filling so far, and everything worked out fine. I even brought my partner here and she registered too, and she will be a regular as well from now on. The practice is conveniently close to the town centre and only 5-10 mins walk from the train station. I definitely recommend it!! Great work guys!

I have used this dental practice for the past 4 years and am very happy with the service provided…read more When I first joined the practice as an NHS patient, there were two dentists working here, but now there is only one. This means that sometimes you can have a delay waiting for an appointment but if you have a genuine emergency you will be seen urgently. The practice is located in the north of Edinburgh in the Boswall part of the city. Several bus routes pass by and there is unrestricted parking in the vicinity. When you visit for a check-up you will also get a scale and polish. The dentist is very reassuring and methodical and I have had a filling here and found it a bearable experience! The dentist is also very good with children and my daughter has no fear of coming to the dentist every 6 months for her check-up. The practice no longer sends out reminders for check-ups but you can make an appointment for 6 months ahead when you have finished your check-up which I always do to ensure I don't forget and let too much time pass by. A nice little dental practice in North Edinburgh.

What amazed me most was that my dentist there, David Kilroy, managed to give me the first entirely pain free dental injection I've ever had (and I've had quite a few having had wisdom teeth removed under a local before). Before I even noticed he's made the injection, I could feel my mouth going numb. Highly recommended!

No I'm not a fan of the dentist, that would just be weird! But I am a fan of the staff here…read more They are always polite and welcoming. The reception is always clean, tidy and full of magazines to take my mind off the sound of dentist's drill. My dentist is lovely too. I am quite a nervous patient but he makes me feel totally at ease. My mother always told me to look after my teeth and I'm more than happy to let these guys do it! Cheers, Amy
