I booked Beltmann to move both our cars and belongings from Florida to New Jersey and couldn't be happier! The movers at both ends for our belongings were professional, kind and efficient, they worked like a well-oiled machine. Our belongings took 8 days to arrive and everything was in excellent condition. Our two Subaru's took 3 days to arrive and were actually waiting at our home for us when we flew in. We also met the driver for the auto transport and he was professional and kind. I will admit I was worried about moving everything but our contact in the office was always there to answer questions and reassure us. We hired Beltmann for a move from FL to OR. They were not the cheapest quote by far, but we believed we would get what we paid for and they had such great reviews online. This was our biggest mistake! I had been told that we would receive a call from the driver the night before loading for a more accurate ETA, but never heard a thing. I reached out to the driver that our move coordinator provided to me for a loading ETA, but never received a response. The loading crew called the day of loading and said they would be arriving in 20 minutes. The day of loading, our move coordinator was out of office but assured me that her manager would be contacting us to ensure everything was going smoothly; we never heard a word. We did a walk-through with the loading team and specifically told them all items on the left side of the garage were NOT to be loaded because they were prohibited items. It was not until the next day when we went to load our cars that we realized the prohibited items that we told them NOT to load in the garage had in fact been loaded onto the trailer. We thought maybe those items were not prohibited after all, so they took them and that they would be unloaded at our destination with the rest of our belongings. WRONG. Those items never appeared and are still missing. The driver says these items would have been thrown out because they were prohibited, but our move coordinator says that is not true. Who should we believe? We are also missing other items, most upsetting, a box of artwork and personal wall hangings that cannot be replaced. A large number of our boxes and some furniture were very badly damaged or completely destroyed. When boxes have "VERY FRAGILE", "CHINA", "CRYSTAL" written all over them and the loading team is specifically told those items are extremely fragile and are of high value, you would think they would be handled with the upmost care. Wrong, yet again! Some of these boxes actually have boot prints on the outside of them from employees stepping and/or climbing on them. If they handled our most fragile belongings like this, imagine how the rest of our items were "cared" for. We treated both the loading and unloading teams with kindness and respect, tipping each member well with cash, ensuring they had a fridge full of cold water and Gatorade at their disposal, and encouraging them to take breaks from the heat. As badly as our items were damaged (or completely missing), I can't even imagine how they would have handled our personal belongings had we not done these things. Our entire load was taken off the tractor trailer off-site somewhere and loaded into a Uhaul truck that was brought to our apartment for delivery. The driver pressured me to sign for the delivery when we still had numerous items missing, telling me not to worry, he would go back to his trailer off-site, find the missing items, and bring them back to us. We never saw the driver again. He had one of the guys from the unloading crew bring the items that they "found" on the trailer back to us in the employee's personal vehicle. It has been weeks and the rest of our missing items have still not been found, and I'm afraid, never will be. I just filed our claim tonight, so I cannot comment on their claims process yet, but I don't have high hopes. I was contacted by a claims adjuster asking if we had received any items that did not belong to us, which makes me think the other families sharing the same trailer with us are also unfortunately missing items. I will NEVER use North American Van Lines or Beltmann ever again and I will make sure anyone I know never uses them either. This whole experience has been absolutely horrendous! I hate feeling like we have been completely taken advantage of, but that's exactly how this feels! I have moved myself cross-country numerous times with way less stress and damage AND all of my belongings were there at my destination, the complete opposite of my "professional" cross-country move with Beltmann and North American. They made my move a very easy and as low-stress as possible process for me from packing (quick and efficient) loading, driving across the country, and unloading. They even were able to schedule the unload in a timely manner so I only had to spend one night in a hotel before they arrived with my stuff. There was only one casualty (a ceramic trash can that was not valuable but I really liked, and one injury (one of the feet of my toaster oven was broken off but could be glued back on). These things happen in a cross country move, and I would have been surprised if there had been no damage at all. Overall, I would definitely use them again. read more

My furniture was picked up on 6/23/23 with a delivery window of 6/26-6/30/23. I called numerous times during that week to try to get an update. No one ever got back to me Finally I got through to someone on 6/30 and was informed that my stuff had never left Orlando and wouldn't be delivered for another 5 days. Terrible communication. Hello, I am writing this email hoping that it gets to the write person. I really need someone to help us and do the write thing. My name is Patty Torres, I am from Monterrey (México) I just moved to Orlando with my two daughters and my husband this August. We hired a moving company named Moreno back in México to make our international move and they hired beltmann to deliver our furniture here in Orlando. Moreno send an email saying that Scott Bugielski from SIRVA was going to be the one in charge of our move here in the US so we started emailing back and forth for details on the moving day and time. Then he told me that Kimberly Daugherty from beltmann Orlando was the one in charge of our move because she is here in Orlando and that she was going to contact me to let me know the time the movers where going to arrive at my home. She never called or email me. So on the day of the move I called her to ask her about my move time. She said that the movers were going to arrive between 10am and 11am. She was not friendly at all, she spoke to me with a rude tone and when I asked her why was our move scheduled so late she didn't respond, then I told her that I wanted all of my furniture the same day because I didn't want more boxes and movers the next day and then with a rude tone she asked me if I knew what an international move meant. She repeatedly asked me this question with a rude tone and then when I asked her why did she schedule my move so late she said that she was not talking to me anymore, that if I wanted to say something to her then I needed to call Scott Bugielski and let him call her. Then she hung up on me. I called Scott and told him what just happened, he said that he couldn't believe it and that he was going to call her and listen to her side of the story. That she should just answer yes or no and by any means have never had hang up on me or any other customer. So the movers arrive at 10:30am, did not cover my carpet and were not very careful unloading down my furniture. Scratched some of my walls (not that big of a deal) and left at 7:30pm. Then came back the next morning and finished unloading and opening my boxes. When they uncrade one of the parts of my dining table, they broke a piece of it and told as to let the company know that it came broken. After that, one of the guys called their office (I guess) and then told me that he just received a message from his supervisor letting him know that they were not authorized to uncrade anything. So they left the rest of my dining room, the coffee table of my living room and the class top craded in my garage. This was on Tuesday, Dic. 22. I called Scott to ask him when were they going to send the 3rd party to finish the job because I needed my dining table for Christmas. He told me that he was going to talk to Kimberly and see when. Obviously nothing was going to be done with that women on charge. And that was just it. The week passed and Scott stopped calling me back and giving me answers. We spent Christmas in our kitchen because they just didn't send anyone to uncrade our dining table. Today I called Scott again to ask him when were they going to finish their job that is already fully payed. Again his answer was, let me call you back in a few minutes. And again he didn't call me back. So I started looking for the owner's name and phone number to see if he cared about what was happening and see if he could help me and that is when Kimberly answered the phone and again with her rudness told me that she followed Scott's decisions and she hang up again. I am really confused on why are this kind of people still working for the company and why are they so upset or unhappy working there. They are not suppose to work in that position because they do not know how to talk to a customer. I am still waiting for an answer. I talked with Scott at 9am ... it is 3pm now and still, no answer. I need someone's help! Please send this email to the write person that could do something about this situation and that can send someone to finish my move. read more

Couldn't be happier with the estimator, the crews on either end, and the driver. Everything was on schedule, the crews were friendly and worked their butts off, and took extra care with stuff that we, frankly, hadn't wrapped as well as we should have. Our 12-year accumulation of stuff--about 10,000 pounds--arrived intact, on schedule, and placed carefully in a two-story house. Moving ain't easy, but this was a pleasure! read more

Update to the move from hell... Well North American Van Lines has decided the final settlement is $312. That is supposed to fix the chairs, dressers and tables. They denied ANY breakage of dishes, china or pictures because we packed everything ourselves. So we could have paid another $3000 and have them pack everything so it wouldn't break but if it does they still only pay 60 cents a pound. Thanks to Beltman and their entire team. Timely and courteous. The packing crew were happy and cooperative and worked incredibly hard to wrap and pack. Very meticulous records kept by crew leader for the inventory. Loaders were all very experienced men with many years in the business. They were so nice to talk to and listened to my requests. If you need your things moved, you are better off with a different company! Do NOT let anybody from Beltmann into your home, they will break your stuff and then call you a liar. If I could give this company zero stars I would! The company sub-contracts as a delivery services for Sealy. I received a new Sealy mattress between the holidays that was delivered by two men from the Beltmann Group. They brought the new mattress into my bedroom and took the old one with them as ordered. I inspected the mattress, signed the papers, and off they went. Unfortunately, it turned out that while switching out the mattresses one of the delivery guys hit my flat screen TV in the bedroom and caused permanent damage to the inside picture. Half of the screen remains black with cracks going all across the inside of the picture - not reparable. Since you cannot see it until you actually turn the TV on I didn't notice the damage until the delivery guys had already left. My fiancé and I called the Beltmann group for weeks until they finally put us in contact with a manager. We provided him pictures and explained the circumstances and still his conclusion was that we are lying and that there is no evidence. Case closed for them, they already got their money... So, unless you are filming the delivery process and record the moment when your stuff gets broken, you will not have a claim against any mover from Beltmann. They will just say you are lying and that you have no evidence they did the damage. Therefore, I highly recommend to look for a different, professional, bonded and insured moving company with customer service and an actual process for handling customer complaints and claims. Careless and reckless. Underestimated the move, even they did a visual inspection twice. I ended up "lending" them boxes and other supplies as they ran out of supplies and refused to provide more. Packers were friendly, but labeled boxes inaccurate which led to a bigger mess, because at destination the crew unloading refused to move things more than once, so as we realized boxes were in the wrong place, the movers told us that they don't move things again. Time frames were met as promised all with nothing damaged! I was recommended to them from a close family member & I will continue to refer them. Disappointed with the lack of communication. After signing the "quote", which is actually a binding document, my husband called several times before getting a response. Now that we have an issue no one will answer our calls. Delivery driver was great. Packers were ok. The office and staff get the 2 stars. read more

Terrible customer service. My in-home estimate was scheduled for 8am and the estimator (Gary) put it on his schedule for 10am. We were both sent an email with the 8am confirmation so this was an error on his part. When I called to try to reschedule my calls were never returned. Kimberly in the office needs to learn some customer service skills. It isn't professional to not acknowledge receiving an email. If my business isn't important enough to respond to repeated calls/emails then I doubt yours will be either. read more

Betlmann was very helpful in my first big cross-country move after living in the same home for more than 20 years. The packing crew arrived as scheduled and carefully packed up my belongings. The loading crew moved quickly to get everything into the truck. Then a few days later everything arrived in great condition 1500+ miles away. I have moved several times over the years because of personal and corporate reason and have used every national moving company; most have been good, a few disastrous and when going through moving and life changes there is always a degree of stress and you do not need any extra with your move. Having knowledge from past moves, I decided to schedule Beltman for my last two previous moves and highly recommend their service. From the initial contact to the delivery of the furniture they were very professional. The drivers on each move deserve a special recognition because they were the ones ultimately responsible for the reputation of the company. They were professional, kept their crew focused, organized and respectful. They kept me informed of delivery time and called in advance to confirm the date. Couldn't have asked for a smoother move. At the Wesley Chapel location, Lorenzo and his staff were extremely friendly and courteous. The comradery of the group was both appreciated and entertaining. At the Hickory site, Randall kept things moving smoothly. We did have to switch some of the furnishings once the furniture arrived and the movers accommodated us without delay. I need to reach out to Randall as there were a couple of wood screws that need to be put into the dining room table, but I've forgotten exactly where they go. read more

It was a mess from start to finish. The packagers did not show up, local company blamed the driver and the driver proved it was local agent. Packager finally showed up without the right amount of boxes and did a poor job. Tried to get them to send more boxes to no luck. They finished at 5:00 pm because they had to leave no overtime allowed. Drivers truck was ant infected. Total time to load 1/3 of a house 10 hours. Local agent was no help and just tried to blame driver. Items were to be delivered on a set date and time that the driver set and agreed to. We had to pay for a security guard that is a requirement of the condo's that we moved to, the driver was 3 hours late. There was damage to almost all furniture including a safe. We were told that 4 people would help unload and only two showed. We had to help some and had to get other worker that happen to be onsite to help also. The items had been moved to another truck before delivery and were not wrapped right. Metal chairs were damaged, safe damaged, artwork that was explained had to be careful with damaged. Total of damages will be in the $5,000 to $6,000 range. My best advise use someone else, we got 3 bids and they were not the cheapest but thought they would do a good job, we were wrong. read more

Beltmann/North American moved our 5 bedroom home into storage in early July. The team arrived on time and quickly sized up the job. There was a large crew of 6 or seven and they moved me out of 5,000 square feet in a little over three hours! They protected the home I was moving out of by lining needed doorways with pads and stairway walls with cardboard. This means so much as the walk through for the new buyers was the next day and I had no repairs to do! It was by far the best moving experience we have ever had. We moved from FL to TN recently. In our married life, we have moved over 20 times, so we have some background in this. Because of our unfortunate experience with our previous move to FL using another carrier, we were very concerned about entrusting our household goods (HHG) to anyone. We got quotes from several movers. All but one came out to actually see our home. Gary from Beltmann, representing North American Van Lines did a thorough inventory of the house. He quoted a binding price that was very competitive. We also asked that our HHG remain on the truck and not go into storage. Beltmann and NAVL were able to work that out. Kim, our Move Coordinator, was wonderful to work with. She stayed in touch with us and set up a move that turned out as close to perfect as a HHG move can get. Kim called several times during the move to make sure we were happy with how things were going. The packing and loading occurred as agreed. The driver arrived with enough and competent people to get the load done. Our HHG remained on the truck and delivery was tendered on the day we requested. We incurred no damage, no missing items and no additional charges at destination. The binding estimate given to us in the beginning was the total bill, no last minute gotchas. We can highly recommend both Beltmann and North American Van Lines to handle your move in a professional, competent and friendly manner. If we move again, they will be at the top of the list. read more

Please, Please ignore this company like the plague! I have made several major moves in my lifetime and have never experienced the carelessness of this company My piano, left to me by my sister who died from cancer, came with the foot board missing and wood missing from the pedal area; the dining room hutch arrived with damage to the wood. Many other pieces arrived with damaged areas. The carelessness even went so far as to damage something little like a plastic laundry basket where it arrived cracked and the handle broken off. Just unbelievable. This company was subcontracted by North American Van Lines, so be careful! I wish I could post pictures to show the damage. I would hate to see someone else experience the same. Moving can be quite upsetting in itself, without damage to your precious cargo. I am in the process of submitting my claim to North American Van Lines so cannot comment on their handling of claims. Just stay away from this company if you can. read more
