I confirmed the move last week and was good to go for today. I was told that movers would arrive between 10:30-11:00 am. When the movers didn't arrive at 11 I called and tried to get an estimate on arrival. I was told that they were behind from a previous move and that they'd be finishing up soon. It was getting closer to 1 and I called again. This time I was told they would be there between 2-3 and no later than that time and that I could get a discount. Fast forward to after the 3 o'clock time. I called back and got a rude man on the end of the phone. I simply asked when the movers would be there because I had been waiting since 10:30 am for someone to show up. He argued with me and told me that I had an afternoon move scheduled and that I would just need to wait until they got here. I continued ask for a time as it had been already 6 hours since the scheduled time. It was then that he told me that he wasn't doing business with me and that I was ungrateful and that he was canceling the move. I had asked him to please not do that and then he hung up on me! Horrible business. I reported the company to the better business bureau and filed a complaint. This isn't the first time this has happened either. Beware and don't trust the name - Florida family movers. It's a horrible business and not family oriented at all.

I knew there was an issue when they showed up in a U-Haul, and not a truck owned by the company. I would say the job took twice as long as all other moving companies have done. With a 1 year old at home, we needed this job done way before his bedtime and we came dangerously close to taking longer than that. 6.5 hours in total. Payment was requested before unloading at new location? I will not be using them again due to the unprofessional, dishonest, and shady communication skills utilized during this move. The movers themselves were kind and helpful, but slow. I would not recommend working with Nik or his company to move your belongings.
