I tried a different way to make an appointment. I went to their website to book an appointment on-line; www.advantage-hearing.com. Surprisingly, www.advantage-hearing.com took me to HearingLife.com. I double-checked to make sure I had entered the correct web address; I had. So I clicked on "book an appointment" on HearlingLife.com, entered my zip code (24055; a Virginia zip code). The web page response directed me to select an office in Temecula, California, saying it was the closest at only 7 miles. This did not seem accurate. So I chanced a look at a map of the united States. The office in Temecula is actually 2,455 miles from my home. A 2,455 mile drive to this 'nearest' office felt a bit far, so I rolled the dice and called them back. On this second phone call, as soon as my call rang through, I was disconnected. Nonplussed, I called a third time. The third call put me back into the "no one here has time to answer your call" loop, so I ventured forth and left a message asking for a return call. That's where we are at this moment. Waiting for a return call. I am having the oil changed in my car today, so I am ready for the cross-country road trip as soon as I know when they will see me. Significant inconsistencies in billing and poor service…read more My insurance provider Humana suggested them as one of their in network providers. I provided Eden Chiropractic all the appropriate information and made sure everything was squared away. Both Humana and Eden Chiropractic confirmed my out of pocket cost for this visit was 15$. After the appointment Eden Chiropractic changed their mind and decided to add 98$, a grand total of 113$. The receptionist was unhelpful and wasted time with made up excuses. Currently working with Humana to resolve this. I only got medical insurance last year. Until now I either payed out of pocket or went through the VA. When I paid out of pocket I never paid more than 60$ at other chiropractors and they did a much more thorough job, were honest and punctual. The appointment itself was disappointing. The Chiropractor was very late, about an hour late. The first concern was no request of X-rays or taking X-rays, which is very unusual given my past injuries. Every prior chiropractor had insisted on them beforehand which makes sense when a back and neck are as messed up as mine. He did minimal work gave some excuses and met me upfront to reschedule. The dishonesty, lack of effort and tardiness I personally experienced is highly unprofessional and unacceptable.
