In Lisbon, I was told to try the green wine because it's from a specific region. It tastes kinda like a Chardonnay.

Wow, the octopus is just perfectly cooked and seasoned. Melt in my mouth delicious. The pasta was also cooked perfectly with a couple of mussels, clams, shrimps and scallops on to of the neatly displayed pasta. Okay, it all cooked perfectly. The scallops were so sweet and tasted we if they came straight from the water, which they probably did that morning. The simple salad was fresh and refreshingly light. I made the mistake of eating too much bread before our mains came. We enjoyed the clams and grouper head with a side of greens and potatoes. everything was delicious! It's big enough to share for two, and we still couldn't manage to finish all the food. Parts of it were cooked beautifully and parts were very overcooked and chewy. The potatoes were too salty but well cooked. The greens had grit in them and crunched uncomfortably in my teeth. The steak was lovely but the accompanying rice was hard and bland. It was the only place I've eaten in Portugal (and I've tried a pretty large variety of types) where the sever held the credit card machine in front of me asking if I wanted to enter a tip as I was in the process of looking at the bill and paying. I would have tipped anyway but it was definitely off-putting. Maybe the hype is just residue from a bygone era? I was told I had to try it so I did but I wouldn't go back and probably wouldn't recommend it.
