Unfortunately, I have to change my review. Belvedere went MIA for a bit and had to file an extension for my taxes but I had to chase them down. Also, we found out this year from our state that they never filed my husband's state taxes for 2020 and our state almost put a lien on our house because of it. So at this point, I'd avoid them and go somewhere else because he paid $400 for both federal and state taxes just for them to not. He's also reached out to them and hasn't heard back. I went in on February 13th to get my taxes done by Jason. A month went by and I did not receive my return so I contacted the IRS. They explained that "NO RETURN WAS EVER FILED". So I call Jason to see what happened and he says "I might have forgot to hit the submit button." I asked for a refund of $250 which was his filing fee. He declined to give me a refund stating "It was never a guarantee that I would submit your refund on the date you came in" DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE. If I could leave zero stars I would. We could have given our taxes to our 3 year old and have had a better experience. Jason (the owner) and his team did not file our taxes on time NOR file for an extension despite us submitting our tax information in January 2023 with the deadline in April 2023. This caused us to be fined thousands of dollars at every level of the government. When we received these fine notices in Aug 2023 we immediately notified Jason and Michelle. I cannot detail the level of disregard and lack of communication that occurred from Jason and Michelle. We had to beg for updates regarding the fines and any crumb of information if the fines were abated. Which is absurd as these fines were due to their own negligence. What tax professional does not apply for an extension if needed? In end Jason had to personally pay the final tax fine as he was unable to get it abated and even prolonged that process. The tax notifications demanded payment April 18th, 2024 and both my husband and I had to individually call, email, and call again directly to Jason for him to make the payment before the final deadline. All in all it took Jason and his team 9 months to resolve this issue and countless hours of my family worrying about this issue, and chasing down Jason to correct the mistake him and his team made. If you want to pay thousands in late fees and penalties Belvedere Tax Group is the place for you! The owner of BTG (Jason) was a CLOSE family friend for over 20+ years. I hired Jason to file multiple years of taxes (some delinquent) and although he prepared them he never filed them with the tax agencies! In January he reassured me he would submit them and still hasn't to this day. When confronted Jason told me to sign them and submit them myself to avoid any liability. To make things worse Jason refused to refund me. His reasoning was that he fulfilled his obligations. Bottom line is Jason was paid to prepare AND FILE all three years of taxes and never did! Due to his negligence one of those years can no longer be filed electronically. Please read other reviews from other sites and you'll see the pattern of BTG either delaying filing taxes or not filing at all! If he can do this to me who considered him family, he'll do it to anyone. Jason will respond as if we're strangers and not take any accountability. Luckily I was smart enough to document all correspondence between us for legal purposes. Save yourself the headache and take your business elsewhere!! read more

I was looking for a black tax professional and came across Belvedere Tax Group. They were very accommodating, welling to complete my taxes in person or virtually, which ever I was most comfortable. The location is in the beautiful Belvedere hotel. I arrived and was out in less than an hour. I had questions as there were several changes for me last year that may affect my taxes. Jason is amazing! Not only did he help me and my husband with our 2015 taxes, but he also corrected our 2014 taxes free of charge (we had slightly messed them up in Turbo Tax.) I used Belvedere Tax Group to help me file my taxes in 2013 and 2014. There's really nothing too fancy about my taxes besides my running my small business. Jason really knows his stuff! He helped me organize my expenses and sales to help minimize my tax bill. I didn't understand how taxes worked before (still don't really) but what little I did get came from Jason's clear explanations of the first 2 pages.
