To be perfectly honest, I didn't think I was going to like it very much at the start. The way it was laid out seemed a little strange, with a pool right in the middle and everything is just so open but the more you come, the less you start to really care about it. Everybody just tends to stick to their own routine.
I personally have a love/ hate relationships with gyms, if I'm going, it's almost daily, if not, I probably haven't been there in months. So far, so good. They offer the usual free classes during the week, personal trainers are always around, and the staff are generally quite friendly and helpful if you need anything. I've yet to see the gym when it's quite though. It's not really a bad thing. There are plenty of machines, both up & downstairs so you're never really waiting around, even in those busy after work peak times.
Equipment is also very good, rarely will you see that something is out of order, and when it is, it doesn't stay like that for a very long time. It's also reasonably clean I have to say, both staff and customers seem to keep it that way. The only downside is the air con. I'm almost certain that it's due to the pool being right in the centre. The air always feels so stuffy. I do actually think they have their air con on all the time but it rarely helps. On a treadmill or when at the weights machines you get this feeling of damp and blocked up air. Other than that, no complaints, all in all, a pretty great gym. read more
