After waiting for HOURS on thanksgiving and weird vague phone calls, he had random Chinese food delivered to our house that gave us all food poisoning. He showed up the next day with all store bought food (that he claimed he cooked from scratch.) For the price that was paid, this was completely unacceptable. The kitchen was left completely dirty and destroyed. He did not cook a single thing on the menu that we had given. He was wasted and left all of his shooters behind, along with all the packing of store bought goods that he came out and told us he made from scratch. Complete joke and a waste of your money. We were playing cards when he arrived and he actively chatted about games with us all the while preparing our food from scratch in our kitchen. He never missed a beat. I really appreciated his ability to just fit into our space. It made everyone comfortable and excited about the meal. Chef Bud is clearly an expert in his field. He flawlessly explained all the recipes, going so far to even tell us where the cheeses or meats originated from. He accommodated allergies we had (dairy and fish). Prior to coming to our house, he provided wine recommendations that would pair well with our menu selections. Each meal was visually mouthwatering and while he has many entrees to pick from, clearly his beef tenderloin is a 5 star Michelin entree! We just couldn't get enough!!! When I went on and on about the leeks he offered the recipe to me. I especially appreciated that. He was polite and cheerful through the whole experience and visited with us like we were family. But make no mistake, he clearly has skills and knows his way around in the kitchen. The whole experience was top notch from start to finish. The five hour excursion included stunning views of the area along with falls, wildlife, and abandoned mines. Our guide, Dave was very knowledgeable of the area and was very accommodating of our requests for stops along the way and answering our many questions. As a previous owner of a 4x4 with many hours on and off the trail, I felt very comfortable with both the equipment and Dave. Highly recommend!
