This place has all the $hitttt you absolutely do not need but will have fun playing with anyways. The store seems a little crowded just because there are a ridiculous amount of things on the shelves and always a steady stream of people in and out. I would like to see them STOP selling hermit crabs. The way the crabs are raised, ripped from shells, and thrown into new painted shells isn't ethical. No staff around ready to help out but I'm sure if you needed something you could try to find someone. Worth the visit - most exciting store around the area. Just don't support buying hermit crabs!! read more

Incredibly rude manager, was seen screaming at young children of my family in the store after a small mistake that another employee kindly helped us clean up. I commented about this before and she deleted the review. Do not give them your business until that manager lady is gone! read more

Another store I looked forward to coming back to, partly just for the fun variety, which was even bigger than I remembered, partly because I remembered they had the yarns. I wasn't into knitting last trip, but am a prolific knitter now. I had great fun looking and bought a few skeins to knit as I travel. They had just gotten in some fur-lined clogs and the strap on my lavender ones had just broken the day before, so it was providential to find them here. I bought a pair of the purple ones in my size for $12.99 and wore them every day the rest of my trip. They have lots if souvineer-y type stuff as well, something for everyone, so I do highly recommend stopping in here when you're in town. This used to be my favorite place to take my visitors when they would come to Tawas. But I realized this past weekend that they are selling and have been selling painted hermit crabs. If you do any research on the subject you'll see that these animals are suffering and selling them in a store to tourist is a death sentence for these little animals. I spoke with the manager and he plainly said he will continue to sell them because people buy them. So it's up to anybody with a conscious to not buy these. Unfortunately, I know this will fall on a lot of deaf ears Do unto others as you would have done to yourself, this goes for animals that can't speak for themselves as well. read more

Loved that they had Pro Trump stuff! Neat little store has everything you didn't know you needed! Wife and I found new tumblers with Tawas markings on them as souvenirs to a wonderful trip. I would've purchased that Trump 24 hat but my wife told me I have to wait until he actually announces. read more

Several weeks ago, I was in this store looking for some small stickers with the U.S. Coast Guard emblem on them. The young lady who assisted me couldn't locate any and she called a manager over. He told me he would order them and, if I gave the young lady my telephone number, she would contact me when the stickers arrived. So, I agreed but figured that I might never hear from them. But.......a couple of days ago, BINGO! She called and told me the stickers were in the store. Wow! What franchise stores would do this? Answer: NONE! Smal town businesses are the best. read more

This place has absolutely everything that you don't really need- but you'll buy something anyways. It's Hot and Not, Hit and Miss, Good and Gross, Bam and Blah. That pretty much sums up the entire store. It's a quirky, glorified dollar store selling everything you would expect from a souvenir shop in a high tourist location. Was it worth the stop? Definitely! We had quiet a few giggles and belly laughs looking at all the merchandise. My twins each got a lucky rabbits foot for $1 each, I grabbed myself a bloodstone pendant for only $2.99, my daughter picked herself out a few stickers to add to her collection (from places we've vitiated) and my son pick out a microwave bag of Amish popcorn. I spent $11 and change and we were all happy with our picks. Do you really need a tie dyed T-shirt that says Tawas MI blasted across the front or a goofy lawn sign for your travel trailer or front lawn- then this is your place! Definitely worth checking out, even if you don't purchase anything- but you will! LOL! read more

I just visited the store the other day and overheard the owner chewing out one of his workers. The poor lady stood with her head down while he yelled at her. Not a way to take care of an employee problem, especially where customers can hear you. I've always loved shopping at this store, but this really made me think twice about giving him my business again. He also has had a lot of Trump stuff, so I guess I know why he was belittling this female employee. read more

I love this store. It's a must do every time we come up. They are always getting new things in and I could spend hours looking and never seeing it all. I never walk out empty handed. If you can't find It , just ask. They probably have it somewhere in the store. Employees are always friendly and helpful. This is a great store. Lots to look at ... unique clothes, chimes, decor at really surprising ("good") prices. Definitely stop in.

This store is certainly amazing, though sometimes it's a little overwhelming. I love going here-alone. You get lost looking at things. They have so much stuff and it's all very cool, however, be prepared if you take a kid in this store, you will chase them all over! They have tons of art supplies, little jewelry, small personalized gifts, a ton of toys, tshirts and just about everything! I guarantee that you will need an hour to look at things! In the summer time they also have creepy little hermit crabs and everything to go with them. The kids love them! read more

My sister lives near East Tawas. One of my favoriate things is to go to this store. It is truely one of a kind. Wish we had one near Memphis, TN. This store has so many neat things. You cannot leave there without buying something. Love the fabric and craft section....the best! Wish they had on-line shopping, I'd love it. read more
