He dug around the cement, then used a jack hammer to break it up and release the pole. After it was out, he filled the hole with the dirt and rocks from the broken cement and hauled some of the larger rocks to our back yard. Daniel came out to my place within days while I was at work to check it out. Luckily, I didn't have to ditch work to be there. He gave me an estimate of $2,500 to repair the steps and seal them, which would be a two day process, scheduled for when it got warmer around late March. The company requested 1/2 of the price as downpayment, $1,250. On the last week of March, the crew came in on Wednesday to clean the steps and patch, and they were very respectful to my property. The next day, they came back to seal it up, even fixing the three steps leading to my front porch withour adding to the estimated price. When I came home after thet were done, I was absolutely pleased by the job they did, especially for the price. My steps look brand spanking new and I have the peace of mind knowing they're safe.
