The facility is very clean, food is good, staff is beyond friendly and you know he is in good hands when you leave at night. That is the hardest part, but they make it easy for you to do. I wish I could remember everyone's name who has touched my Father's life to help make him better, but through GOD he has brought Byron, Thomas, Anna, Katie, Blake, Karen, Laura the entire PT team into his life to make a difference.

Apparently, they do not respect their patient's time at all. We waited over an hour past his appointment time. Of note, when he checked in the receptionist did not say anything of why there would be a delay in seeing the optometrist. I definitely do not recommend this place if you need to see an optometrist.

I called their main office in Panama City and asked to talk to the office manager Cathy Nichols to find out why Chipley was not answering their phones but it went to voice mail and it's been two days and she still hasn't returned my call. When I finally got thru to Chipley they told me the were slammed and only had 2 people working the front desk. When I asked for an appointment they told me it would be 6 weeks. So I called back Panama CIty and they told me it would be 28 days to get an appointment. I finally started calling friends and I was referred to Dr. Davis. They gave me an appointment for the very next day. I got to the office at the appointed time and was seen right away. Dr. Davis was very competent and I left feeling very confident that I was in great hands. Dr. Davis is now my go to guy.

During the first visit ($150 cash non-insured) he really spends a lot of time with you, usually 45+ minutes, going over past history, current problems etc. He is big on ordering whatever is needed such as blood tests and x-rays. If you don't have insurance he will help work out. They are really great about calling in re-fills without having to make a visit and the cost per (non-insured) visit is about $80 as of this writing. They do require that you transfer your records to them before they will see you. Their office is very modern and all records kept electronically. They can also do blood work and other services on the spot saving the hassle of going to the hospital. Another great thing is that at Panhandle Family Medicine if he happens to go on vacation there are other very well qualified doctors available.
