One on one service to help us. A dressing room to try things on. And lots of accessories added in. We were in and out in less than half an hour with everything we needed. We are ready to party! I was running late but the woman I spoke with stayed on until I got there. The costume she "put together" was fabulous--a real cotton/velvet blue jacket with a gold collar, a throat ruffle, and a hat with a white feather. It was perfect, of high quality (though used, as this is typically a rental shop), and charged me $25. I couldn't believe it and my son was elated.

I was actually dreading stopping in since I was shopping for a non-Halloween related event and expected it to be mobbed but I didn't have time to order off ol' faithful Amazon prime for my supplies. All of the Party City locations closer to me have closed (RIP West Hartford) so I was glad to have Manchester's store within a 20 minute drive since I desperately needed some platters, pop up disposable garbage bins, and other event essentials. The store wasn't too crowded, given it was a weekday morning, but there were still plenty of last minute Halloween shoppers trying on costumes. The staff member I dealt with was the only annoying part of the experience - she took forever to ring up my merchandise and kept forgetting what she actually rung up. I was in a rush and upon getting home realized that a couple items were on my receipt that she never put in the bag. Come on, you had one job. Luckily they were like a dollar each (plastic tongs) but I needed them and it didn't make sense for me to drive 20 min back to the store. Just a friendly reminder to check your merch and check your receipt - otherwise things get real annoying real fast!

Was told when this booked that the bouncy house would be picked up the next day which was a Sunday , perfect because I don't want that behemoth sitting on my lawn for longer than 24 hours ! So when I didn't hear from them on Sunday I called and they told me it would be first thing Monday....ok ...not really acceptable but I understand. Now they are 2.5 miles away so when I called at 9:00 am Monday and the owner said they are on the way I say great . I did a couple of errands and came home around 10:15 to find their equipment still on my lawn . I called back and talked to the same "rude " so called 40 year in business owner to ask why it wasn't picked up yet and he went off on a tangent about this being the busiest weekend and 200 other customers and no help , and then went on and asked me if I was one of "those guys " who sat around and watched my lawn all day ! WTF ? Who does this guy think he is ? So .....I had to do a face to face with this arrogant so called business owner . Sure enough....just what I thought....jumped up in my face and proceeded to tell me I'ma "Kenny" .....ya know a male "Karen"....not once but at least five times ! He is a lucky man.... I would not recommend doing business with this man unless you get a written contract for drop off and pick up times . Very unprofessional.

I had so much stuff that I had to bring it all up to the counter so that I could keep my hands free for further hunting around (unusual for me when I do any antique shopping - I usually only find 1 or 2 items at most). The man working at the counter was friendly and helpful. My friend and I appreciated that he seemed to enjoy his job - that made our shopping experience even better. I also think that someone who set things up outside has a wonderful sense of humor, because there was a doll sitting in a chair looking into a mirror. You know I had to get a picture of it!

So she ran back to the car and the very sweet women who work there let me bring the costumes outside for her to look at, since we didn't have time to try another day.
