We were happy to find a park open during the pandemic. This location offered pull through, full hookup sites with a picnic table. The sites were spaced adequately so we weren't feeling too crowded. They were friendly on the phone when we made our reservation. They gave us a Good Sam discount and left our check-in packet on the office door. They had a dog park for the pets as well. The owner checked with us as we parked to make sure we were settling in ok. It had been rainy before we arrived and as we walked through the park, we noticed some of the sites down in the lower area of the park had muddy tire ruts from previous visitors. We were glad we had a good graveled site up near the front of the park. Many of the park patrons were longer-term residents with the transients like us parking more toward the entrance. read more

Very nice campground. We are a 40' RV pulling a 20' trailer. Plenty of room in between spots, concrete pads and lawn. They also have propane here. The office was unexpected, looked like a pole barn on the outside but had a very welcoming staff and interior decor. I did hear a train around midnight but in only tooted horn once. read more

Smaller RV park. Easy pull thru for our 40 ft rig. Full hook ups and 50 amp. Gravel spaces but level. The hosts seemed pleasant and there was ample wifi. Would definitely stay again. It was an overnight stay so unknown on laundry and shower facilities. read more

There were pros and cons. It's a small park and the pads are really close. The ground sloped pretty steeply past the concrete at my spot so I couldn't put out my chair and canopy unless I pulled up all the way and then went around and parked behind the camper. I also was kind of put out that I was charged for every extra hour I was there past 2 pm (I believe). Even though there was no way with work that I could leave before 4:30 or 5. I almost paid the price of another night's stay and was told "the site couldn't be rented to others for the night if I was there." BS. There were plenty of empty sites and plenty of people come in after 4pm. The pros were it was clean, there was a small store with basics, a bathroom and laundry room. It wasn't far from a gas station, a DG, Walmart, or some fast food places. And I had Wi-Fi. read more

We stayed in pull-through full hookup site B11. The site was long and it also had a concrete pad. Very impressive! Our electrical post had two 120 volt plugins but both of them were inexplicably placed directly above the 30 amp connection. This terrible design prevented us from using both at the same time. What in the world? Management needs to fix this issue. Thank heavens our adapter allowed us to use the 50 amp connection instead. Campground has 2 main wifi signals and one is dedicated to streaming. Both were blazingly fast! My AT&T phone had 2 bars and I didn't try the hotspot. Good laundry facilities and inexpensive at only $2.00 to wash and $1.00 to dry. Not much to do in the local area. Bathrooms were closed due to Covid-19. read more

A small, simple campground that's a great stopover. We only stayed one night at Benchmark but it was a very nice stay. The owner of the park was very friendly and helpful. We used our Passport America discount and only paid $15. The park is mostly gravel with a concrete pad at each site. Full hookups were great. Not a ton of shade but the trees that are there are large. A few folks were sitting under one together enjoying some drinks when we arrived. There's an off leash dog area which I greatly appreciate. It amazes me that some of the big RV resorts don't have these. Very nice to let our dog run about a bit. We used the showers and they were private, hot, and clean. Excellent. It is a little tricky getting there. We had to do a u-turn because our GPS didn't quite get the path right. Take a look at the map yourself beforehand to have an idea of the turn. My only complaint about the campground was that I saw several fire ant mounds. There was one right next to our site pad that we had to be careful to avoid. Otherwise, this was a great stop. We will definitely stay here again if we're ever passing through the area. read more

What a nice surprise to find a jewel of an RV park Meridian, MS. This a real clean comfortable and enjoyable place to spend some relaxing quite time at. The owners are very nice, friendly and enjoyable to talk with. If you are traveling thru Mississippi you should plan on stopping here to spend a night or couple nights. read more

They are a complete rip off they took 1 months advance rent and then asked my daughter to leave after stating she supposedly stole soap from shower and said they had her on camera (cameras in the showers) HMMM? Talked with local police and they agreed to return 225.00 of the 450.00 since it was only 7 days into the 30 then after we hire someone to move her they lied to me and police! We got to this RV campground late after a long travel day. Had made a reservation upon Yelp recommendation. Although office was closed, they left our site information on the door. The site map was easy to read. Since we had to leave again early the next a.m. we didn't want to unhitch our little travel trailer. The concrete pads were in great shape and perfectly level. The shower/restroom combinations were lockable and exceptionally clean. The whole experience with Benchmark was excellent. read more

Very nice little campground. We wanted to stop here due to its quaint size, and great reviews. We were very pleased here. As mentioned, map was super easy to read, and roads were very easy to navigate with no tight corners. We have a 45' Coach Bus and were able to drive around without problem. We got a perfectly level, concrete pad, spot near the front of the campground, therefore, when it was time to go, we merely drove right out the exit. Clean power, and a clean campground. Nice, clean, small campground. I had 3 interactions with the owner - 2 on the phone and 1 in person - and he was pleasant, helpful and professional. It's best to call for reservations. They take Passport America but require you to pay in cash if you want the discount. If you arrive between 8:30 am - 4:30 pm, the office is locked and you have to call the owner. He'll give you your lot number and you just go to the office after 4:30 pm to pay. Sites are pull-thru with level concrete pads. Sites are angled so you're not looking directly into the rig next to you. Interior roads are wide and turns are big rig friendly. There's a nice big dog park behind the office. Water pressure was strong - bring pressure regulator - wifi signal was pretty good and cable was great. It's only 4 miles from the interstate in a fairly quiet area at night. The park itself was quiet and we had a great night's sleep. There are train tracks nearby but we heard a train only once during the day. This is nice little park. No playground, no pool so not really family friendly. Good for overnight. I would definitely stay here again. read more

The various 5 star reviews are truthful, but the gushing adjectives are not warranted. The park is a suitable stop for a nite or if you have reason to be in area. The concrete pads are just coach width, everything else is gravel and grass, though well mowed. The staff was very nice on phone and with check in. The dog play area is a large grass fenced area, bigger than many I've seen and clean. Mostly resident 5th wheels, but several large coaches. It is easy to maneuver and pull thrus are long, nnt unhook dingy. Given choices coming down from Knoxville to NOLA, it was a good choice. Just not a 5 star "jewel". Could easily be 4 stars with some sprucing up at sites. Note after leaving I-20, coming up hwy 45 watch closely for left "hook" exit to Dale Dr. I missed it even though gps said it was time to turn and had to make a U turn just up road. read more

Not real happy with the park. They but me next to a run down RV. The sewer connection was to far to use. Will not use again.

We stayed one night on 4/18/17 and came in after hours. We were greeted by the owner who was very helpful and pleasant and guided us to our site. This place is really awesome, as it is very well maintained, clean, super level concrete site pads, and includes a fenced in area for dogs to run. There are no trees, but the ease of access to a site due to excellent layout of the park was more than worth not having shade! Each site has a picnic table. I highly recommend Benchmark for all of the above and would stay there again. read more

I set up reservations for a long term site and upon arrival was met by a condescending manager with an aversion to truth. The lower sites were flooded by recent rains and the site pads fit the RV only. When you set your steps you will be in mud. Avoid the other reviews as it is apparent they are owner generated. If this is the best Marion/Meridian has to offer just move on. read more
