Nobody with a name even similar to the one mentioned has ever worked there; his listed address is 60 miles away; nobody at Star is racist or accuses callers of being racist. If you want an honest Review, please ignore that one, and read on! Physical therapy is all about pain: using good pain to overcome bad pain. And the good doctors at Fairview Star Physical Therapy know how to manage pain with grace and style. The open gym-type layout supports a close-knit community with individual and group therapy. Patients benefit from the tangential interactions of fellow-travelers through the World of Pain, because it is encouraging for a suffering patient to see someone much like themselves, moving further along the path to recovery, while it is equally humbling to realize that there are those who are still much worse off. Chief "Physical Terrorist" is Dr. Rachelle Armistead, DPT, better known to her grateful patients as Miss Shelly. As a McKenzie Certified Therapist (Cert. MDT), she specializes in helping patients learn how to manage their own pain. Rather than following a preset format, where one-size does NOT actually fit all, no two visits to Miss Shelly are ever alike. While the new patient is beguiled to succumb to her blandishments by her muliebrity and her pulchritude, it is her perspicacious discernment that comes to the fore as she delves into the complex factors that comprise the painful experience of the patient before her, its origins and its course of development. Sensitive to the social and emotional side of the patient's life, Miss Shelly treats the whole person, not just their chief complaint. Drawing upon her deep well of experience and training, and marrying that with her compassion and creativity, she turns each encounter into a unique healing session. This is not to say there is no pain. But therapeutic pain is the inevitable sign that progress is being made. Cruel though they may seem, all of the therapists at Fairview Star PT are actually kind and caring. "Prince of Pain" Tim Beckner, DPT, the gentle giant sporting calves like inverted bowling pins, brings to bear hands as warm as a heavy heating pad on the limbs of an aching patient. Soft-spoken and strong, Tim's healing presence is as reassuring as that of a devoted St. Bernard coming to the rescue of a helpless survivor lost in a storm of pain. Physical therapist assistant Jacque Setelin, PTA, plays a crucial role in the Star Therapy experience. Notable for her hospitable and considerate nature, Miss Jacque is always aware of what is going on with each patient and alert for how she can help. She specializes in education, and can always answer questions about anatomy and the course of treatment. She's the one to remind the lazy patient how quickly muscle mass is lost from inactivity, and how very much longer it will take to regain that lost tissue under the skillful management of Star's Physical Therapy Team.

Sounds like they got bought out by Upstream/ Ascension Saint Thomas and are struggling with changes and are disorganized. Its scary how the bigger someone/something becomes, the more its able to take advantage of the little people. With more than 1,200 physical therapy clinic locations over 28 states and 5 million patients, Upstream/Ascension Saint Thomas became too big for its britches and they need to catch up. (two visits with grand total of $386 times 5 million is 1,930,000,000.00 Upstream/ Ascension Saint Thomas do better, be more caring and stop thinking about the money. It took them almost 5 months ( I checked in often) to review irrelevant records and then they denied me care ( I called them- they didn't even have the courtesy of reaching out). Then they suggested I personally reach out to a different office ( clearly their understanding of how insurance and referrals work is minimal). Still in pain and at square one.

I decided to try Elite Sports Medicine on the recommendation of a family friend. I had a consult with Corrine, Dr Glattes' NP. She listened to my history and took X-rays and suggested an MRI scan. We discussed options, and I was clear that I didn't want mere pain management. I wanted to fix my problem as much as possible. The MRI showed 2 herniated discs, so she suggested fusion surgery. I wanted disc replacement surgery, so she ordered a CT scan to see if I was a candidate. Dr Glattes determined that fusion was better for me due to bone spurs and arthritis found on the scan. He scheduled fusion surgery for me in December 2025 when I had time off work during the holidays. The surgery went very well, and Dr Glattes and his staff helped me to feel prepared for it. I also have a bulging disc in my back, and Dr Glattes referred me to physical therapy to start with. Overall, I have had a very positive experience at Elite Sports Medicine. Dr Glattes and Corrine listened and explained the reasons for my symptoms. They are both compassionate and informative. They helped me find a solution to an injury that has given me pain for years. I am already feeling relief even though I am still healing. I highly recommend this location and Dr Glattes!

I absolutely LOVE that Dr. Treadway does soft tissue work in addition to chiropractic adjustments, because it often so needed. They also offer cupping, dry needling, and other services that l'm sure l'm completely unaware of. They accept insurance too, which often makes them much more affordable than most other chiropractors. I have Tourette Syndrome, which makes me a complex and easily injured patient, and unlike multiple other chiropractors, Dr. Treadway has never ONCE mentioned that I need to stop doing my tics or guilted me for doing them, which I SOOO appreciate because it would absolutely crush my spirit and make me feel so so discouraged. I actually thanked her for that at my most recent appointment and she said something like "Why would I make you feel bad or tell you to stop doing something that you have literally no control over?" She is truly so patient and incredible. Location-wise, they aren't the closest chiropractors to my house (I live south of Franklin and they are in North Franklin), but if necessary, l'd drive even farther to be adjusted by Dr. Treadway because of how much better I feel after her adjustments by her. Highly highly recommended! I also take my elementary aged child who can be a handful and Dr. Treadway is so patient with my child a gives my child such thorough adjustments. My child really likes going to see her. I should also mention that my husband gets adjusted by Dr. Davis and is very pleased with Dr. Davis' adjustments. The 7:00am appointments they offer are very convenient for him because he works close-by in Cool Springs and is able to get adjusted before work. Lastly, I wanted to mention that we would still go to Drs. Davis and Treadway if they didn't accept insurance because they are so exceptional. The fact that they do is just the icing on the cake.

It sits off of the main road near the large Seven Springs complex. It's at the base of an unassuming office building. I had a 2pm appointment, checked in, waited a few minutes then made my way back to the room. Procedure/shot took place, and I left. All within about 45 minutes. The major difference with this location and the East Nashville is service and bedside demeanor. The associate at the counter was disengaged, and the nurses were flat. Was an odd vibe. Overall, the procedure went fine and I am finally feeling better, so I'll give them that. For my physical therapy and follow ups, I'll keep to my East Nashville location.

Needles to say, I've done the Tour de Chiropractor around the Middle Tennessee area. It was cyclical in nature, becoming a new patient over and over again. Insurance would only allow a dozen or so visits and I'd eventually stop going for the year to save money. Before you knew it, I'd stopped going altogether until eventually giving into the pain and finding another chiropractor. Moving frequently, I'd find one close by, only to inevitably repeat the pattern and stop seeing them. The chiropractic rolodex finally stopped with Peak Performance. My wife suffered from jaw pain and started seeing them regularly. They completely cured her issues, so much so that she doesn't even have to see them anymore! I guess the best medical professionals drive their patients away, huh? She recommended I start going. Working in Nashville, even living in Brentwood, it was a lengthy drive down to that part of Franklin and I was hesitant. COMPLETELY WORTH IT! Now, I will never use another chiropractor, a lifelong sworn allegiance to Jeff and Carolyn, the charming couple who is DARN good at what they do. My issues require permanent visits, so I'm their patient forever!
