My family LOVES board games and we have a Christmas "Steal a Gift" game. I'm not into board games, so called my sister in Southern California and she talked with a staff member who described some of the games based on family favorites and told her what won "Game of the Year" for 2022 and 2023. She recommended two to me and I chose. I think my gift will be a hit at our Christmas game (2022 Game of the Year). They had tables set up in the rear, and there were quite a few people playing games. The other shops looked interesting, but we were on a time crunch since Modern Games didn't open until 11:00.

The whole area is very clean, well maintained, and super dog friendly, which we loved. It is also close to Riverbend Park, so you can easily make it part of a longer walk or hike. We walked from the park to the Old Mill District and enjoyed the river views the entire way. Between the shopping, dining, and incredible scenery, this is one of the highlights of Bend. The views are amazing and it is a perfect spot to spend an afternoon. The selection of stores and restaurants is top notch. Highly recommend!

I like shopping in Columbia (which has really great deals), Eddie Bauer, Rack Room Shoes, Kitchen Collection and some others. Nike, too. The parking lot is huge. This is not a mall where you shop, eat lunch, shop some more. There's not much in the way of food, with the notable exception of Wild Oregon Foods.

We had an inspection performed before traveling to purchase. As part of the purchase, Camping World's corporate policy is to sell its "Let's Go Camping" package to customers for $2,500. This package is one-size-fits-all and includes camping items and maintenance services that require a visit to a Camping World location. Because we did not want to be forced to use Camping World for our maintenance and because we already had many of the items in their "Let's Go Camping" package, we declined to purchase. When we arrived on site and inspected the RV, it was clear the unit had not been cleaned. When asked, I was told that since I had not purchased the "Let's Go Camping" package, which included a detailed cleaning, the unit would go out as it came in, and there would be no walk-through of the RV and systems, or cleaning of the unit. The people we met at the Bend, OR branch were all very helpful and friendly, but because of Camping World's policy, they could do nothing more on the RV. So after the purchase, we left Bend, OR Camping World with 75 gallons of the previous owners' shit, shower and sink water, which I dumped out at my first opportunity. Camping World's policy of not cleaning out the black and grey water tanks or walking through the unit unless you purchase an overpriced one-size-fits-all package is disgusting, and the people pushing and complying with it should be ashamed. We won't be going back, and you shouldn't either.

Attended the Spring Beauty & Fragrance Gala yesterday 12-5 were the hours advertised in advance. We…read morebrought our tickets last week in Great Anticipation! A Gala in Bend! Um. Well. Dearly me. The Gala consisted of a DJ , a raffle, and about 48 dollars worth of Costco: cookies, crackers, pre-cut cheese, pre-cut pineapple and whole strawberries. No goody bag full of samples, no fragrance reps handing out samples. No glasses or champagne or plates of fresh shrimp. No Amazing Deals of combination sets of product offered at super prices.... For the first time in years I missed Seattle. Seattle, with its luscious event, spanning a significant portion of the floor, dotted with helpful, eager reps quick to proffer a lipstick sample, a perfume miniature... We were met with some store employee wearing what could only be described as an aging stewardesses dress, all orange, shouting over the DJ, "All I need is your name and number!', referring to the raffle tickets available for all... not just those who had tickets in advance. Apparently, this 'Gala' amounted to no more than a 15% off fragrance and beauty. For anyone passing through. We think the staff here at this Macy's misses the point. Especially distrustful employee at the Sunglass Hut here, more concerned with the whereabouts of certain pairs of sunglasses, we later realized that she was concerned we were lifting them? , firing questions at her colleague (before assisting us with procuring the product we were asking for), 'Where are the round ones?! Did you move the others?! Where did you put those other ones?!' Good God. This female employee was so concerned we were there to steal, even though we wore the VIP wrist bands (yeah, ha ha.). Later, we realized she was peering into our shopping bags AFTER we bought two pairs of sunglasses from her... sheesh. This store location does not represent the brand. Abysmal service from store clerk at one register, excellent customer service from Customer Service representative at another. At one register, we spent $278, this is how our purchases were packaged and handed to us.

Everyone here treated me like a king. The level of professionalism, friendliness, and kind gesture was unmatched. Flying around the country is a rewarding experience. My time in Bend was incredible, especially when I visited the Nike Store. No tax! Wait, what? No taxes on sneakers. Give me a few pairs haha :). If you're in the area, I highly recommend you make a stop here for an hour and carefully take time to walk the store. The sneaker selection here was unlike any other Nike store I visited outside the Seattle location. I was in awe during my time in-store.
