Like all memory care facilities everything is locked and we couldn't get anyone to let us out on the screened in porch. We didn't try very hard though. There were no activities going on on this Sunday afternoon. Dear friends nails were painted and it looked professional! That's a nice touch! Every inch of the facility is spotless even the gender neutral restrooms. The staff still don't wear uniforms or name tags and there is no sign in sheet at the lobby. The adjacent barn/farm area has what I thought would be a lake and it isn't. This is a nice memory care ladies only facility in Madison!

The facility is spotlessly clean and the landscaping is beautiful. They have 3 room sizes - studio, 1 bedroom, and 2 bedroom. The food is excellent and plentiful. Activities at the facility include bingo, dominoes, a weekly happy hour, musical events, and special occasion family gatherings. They also have regular excursions out of the facility for lunch, fishing, or shopping. All in all Kauhale provides excellent care for our loved one at a very reasonable price. They have a nice dining room, activities room, hair salon area, reading room, library and other amenities. I was being treated by another doctor for over a year and was being mis-diagnosed and taking prescriptions that my body was allergic too, that went un-noticed. Dermatology Specialist noticed issues right away and treated me the best they could and even assisted me with finding treatment at another facility for the issues they couldn't assist with. I highly recommend Dermatology Specialists, if you are looking for doctors that are truly concerned about your health and willing to go the extra mile to find the help, they can not provide. I'll take that type of service/treatment for an extra 10 minute wait in the lobby, ANYDAY!
