Our Mom suffers from Alzheimer's and Dad has been her caretaker for several years. After his accident, Mom was so lost and the task of being there for both her and Dad as we dealt with his long road to recovery while balancing our own lives and families in the mix was beyond overwhelming. You are truly our angels and am so thankful for you...you love our Mom unconditionally and strive daily to ensure she enjoys life to its fullest. Thank you Susan and Cierra Steele for the weekly pictures and invites to festivities. You will never know the peace it gives me. The staff is absolutely is absolutely amazing and takes such good care of each of their residents. When they call they always say first off "Mom is fine" and then proceed to tell me if there is something she needs or often it's a function they are inviting me to attend with her. They have went above and beyond during COVID-19 offering to Face Time, organizing a parade, making sure we have the correct address to send mail, and the list goes on! My Mom is happier than I've seen her in years and I highly recommend Madison at the Range. Teresa Rexing #madisonattherange #thankfulandblessed

Pretty on the outside - negligent on the inside…read more My mother was in the Monark Grove memory care facility from July to Nov 2023 - until we had to take her out. We had to instruct them to do simple things like: take her hearing aids out st bedtime, take her temp if you see her coughing, call the doc if she has edema, and change her sheets if she has an accident - none of these things were being done. We also found scatches on her arms which weren't being treated. I could go on. Staff appear to not have experience in a memory care facility. We found staff staring at their personal phones everytime we were there. The turnover among staff and managers is unbelievable. Maybe this is just the typical standard of care for this corp. She has been in another facility for 6+ months and the difference is night and day. Observing the staff in the new facility has shown us that Monsrk Grove is not just poorly run, but likely on their way to be investigated by the state.

There is none of the external (and internal) "flare" of other senior care facilities such as Redstone Village (or even the place I would *never* recommend, Regency) like putting greens, raised herb gardens, floral gardens, water features, extensive walking paths, ice cream parlors, swimming pools, libraries, etc. It may have a library, I did not explore the entire interior. It's about 3 blocks north of Highway 20 on Sullivan in Madison. It's an 80-bed Medicare/Medicaid skilled care and rehab facility. My best friend and sorority sister's sweet Daddy has been here for about 2 weeks and I have visited him twice. He is in a semi-private room sharing it with another man, and they can have the curtain pulled between them for a little privacy. The rooms are small. Each resident gets a hospital bed, a microscopic wardrobe, a guest chair, a wall-mounted TV [there may be one TV per room], and a bedside table. Logistics are not bad! You ring the front doorbell, and someone lets you in almost immediately, there are no long waits like I experienced at Merrill Gardens while being absolutely loaded down with supplies for Mom. You enter the open lobby area [again, very small; however it and the facility are tidy] and are greeted by the friendliest staff on the planet. There's a tiny [size of an old school calculator] check in device where you key in your name, phone number, answer personal health related questions, the name of the person you are visiting, your relationship, and it takes your temperature and prints out a name tag. Although, it feels like the 70s inside, each person I interacted with was smiling, friendly, kind, and helpful! The staff checked in on my BF's Dad while I was there and tidied up his half room. We met one of the physical therapists and she was very attentive and engaged, offering to coordinate a special need my BF had for her Father, with the nurse. The residents were discussing a Veteran's Day visit a group had organized during which they visited, and gifted the Veteran's with a ball cap and a bag loaded up with goodies like moon pies, Cheetos, and snack crackers. This visit was quite the "buzz" of discussion and made me happy! One of his lunches was typical southern food: fried fish, turnip greens, coleslaw and a scoop of vanilla ice cream. BF said the meals taste really good. I can attest the meals do smell good! Do consider Madison Manor if you need their services. Sadly, skilled care in Madison County is suffering a serious shortage in terms of availability and open beds. Don't expect to be "wowed" by the building itself. Do know you can tailor your loved one's room [or semi-private room] with wall decor, personal photos, calendars, etc. The pictures uploaded here do not reflect the room my BF's dad is in or the exterior. Rather than the somewhat inviting single-bedroom photo here on Yelp, the semi-private rooms are more like 40-year-old hospital rooms. Also, there are no exterior seating areas at MM.

Older tenants like myself have very old nasty carpets and moldy windows - and no way to get them changed. That is horrible ! The staff turnover continues and the new manager Alice - just know her by name on a flyer they put on our doors. We need back Lisa and Gason along with Adam. That team was the best for the company and us tenants....hands down ! If only the new owners would track them down. Had to add this..V I P I think the management is targeting the tenants. I mean, you have cops giving tickets to parked cars...never seen this in any place I have lived ! It's like they call the cops to inspect cars for violations !! Then they have a company that puts these big bright orange hard to remove stickers on cars...for stuff like expired tags!! WTF ! It's like they go out of their way to make the tenants lives hell ! Now there is trash pick up that you have to pay for $25/month. Plus being forced to get renters insurance. Window jams green and nasty. Just walk oast any window..you clearly see this all over. It is truly a horrible place to live....not tenant friendly. Again I stress we need Gassan n Lisa back here ASAP. Home should be a place to relax - not live in fear of your community management team ! Bullshit !! Look elsewhere !!! THIS IS NO LONGER A COOL PLACE TO LIVE !!!

The team here is constantly improving the property--they recently power-washed all the sidewalks (something I've never seen at other apartments!), and they host fun social events at least once a month. The upgrades in the units are thoughtful and add real value, making the space feel luxurious. Yes, there are fees for not following community rules, but they're just in place to keep everything clean and well-maintained--no issue if you're a responsible adult! Maintenance is outstanding. Since I work in Decatur, my aunt sometimes stops by to walk my dogs if they need access to my unit. The team always communicates with her to schedule a convenient time instead of leaving her waiting around--such a considerate touch! When something breaks, don't expect accountability -- expect excuses, blame, and attitude instead. They actually accused us of intentionally breaking the sink pipes instead of admitting their plumbing was flawed. This was after 8+ maintenance requests to address the flooding issue caused by the sink pipes literally falling apart while the water was running. Most of the staff is rude, dismissive, and completely unprofessional. Amenities are a joke and rarely work properly, just like the gates that are somehow constantly broken. For the amount of money they charge, you'd think basic maintenance and security wouldn't be impossible. One of the most disturbing experiences I had here involved a neighbor filing noise complaints about my dogs. Management immediately threatened eviction and even told me I may need to rehome my dogs instead of actually investigating the situation fairly. I did everything in my power to figure out why my dogs were barking so much, only to discover that the neighbor was literally standing outside my window recording and provoking them. When I brought this creepy and inappropriate behavior to management's attention, they did absolutely nothing about it. Nothing is ever management's fault. They refuse to take responsibility for anything and treat residents like inconveniences instead of paying tenants. Save yourself the stress, money, and frustration and live literally anywhere else. I'm happy to be out.
