After a branch fell and took out the electrical post to my house, I come to find out that my policy not only didn't cover it, but that my insurance agent was nowhere to be found! It cost me several thousand out of pocket and, needless to say, I have not been happy. Flash forward to this morning when I put out a request on FB for a good insurance agent in the area: I knew my little brother was working at Holmes Allstate helping customers get Auto Insurance coverage-what I didn't realize is that HE DOES IT ALL!! (Auto, Life, AND Home!) After we stopped laughing, he immediately reached out and got to work finding me the best coverage for the lowest price on my rental property. He broke down all of my options into concise and simple details, and absolutely made me feel at ease about the whole situation. This morning I was stressed out, anxious, overwhelmed and just plain MAD. This afternoon, I feel relieved and confident in the plan we established. Y'all, this is my little brother. So I'm probably the most nit picky person for him to have to deal with, AND as my brother, he could have cut corners or put me off for another day, or even given me hell for not totally understanding all of this stuff-and let's face it, he probably owes me a little hell! But let me just say, I'm so proud of him and, frankly, blown away at how professional and precise he was! He treated me as he would any customer, answering my questions with patience and even humor! It feels really good to know that if something happens to my home, he will be there to help me through it. --and not just because he's my brother! I think that's what really makes a good insurance person.
