I really hate that there isn't a stand alone MAC Store in the Jackson area, and I'm pretty sure there isn't even one located in the entire state of Mississippi. The primary reason I prefer the stores is because I have the eyeshadow palate and at the MAC stores, you can purchase the individual magnetic eyeshadows that pop into the palate. At these stand alone counters, you cannot purchase these. You can only purchase the shades in the little compact cases they come in. Oh well, it is what it is. At least the people of Mississippi can still order the individual magnetic eyeshadows online. Unfortunately, they can see and try the colour before they make the purchase. Anyway.... having said all that, I do frequent this MAC counter often when I'm in MS because both of my daughters really love MAC as well. I like to browse with them and pick them up some items from time to time. And yes, I even pick items up for me from time to time. In case you don't know this, their pencil eyeliner is awesome and goes on like butter. Wonderful stuff! Why the 2 stars? The customer service. I have yet to meet one person who works at this MAC counter who actually seems like they enjoy their job. They always seem to manage to make me feel like they are doing me a favour by assisting me. They also love to stand around and chit-chat with one another rather than pay attention to the customers. It's positively nerve-wracking! There is another MAC counter inside Belk at Northpark Mall in Ridgeland. But I usually don't feel like driving from Flowood to Ridgeland, so I just deal with the poor customer service here. I highly recommend MAC products, but makes sure to bring your patience when dealing with the employees here.

I'm a huge fan of dermaplane--you can see results immediately as it removes hair and dead skin from the face. I've had this service done at a few places in the Jackson area and can confidently say that Faces, specifically Ms. Marilyn, provides you with the most thorough treatment. She is so unbelievably thorough! She is the only person who has changed the dermaplane blade 2-3 times during my session--I'm Indian, I have a lot of hair, and so, it's expected that the blade would need to be changed and she is the ONLY PERSON in the Jackson area who delivers such extensive and precise service. Oh, and the price is so reasonable for the attention you receive. My sister sees Leta for hydrofacials. Who knew that 1) the two sides of the business do not use each other's forms of payment and 2) they have two different reservation system for the same services on two different sides of the building and I was to know "who I spoke too" and "how I booked my appointment." (I showed them my phone call log and the text sent to me from the spa side to make a reservation. Though I was told they share the same phone numbers.) Even typing this complicates me further. The entire transaction before and after the treatment was so appalling. And the way they treated me. I will use this in training across the US on how a few simple poorly handled customer service transactions can cost you thousands of dollars. As after this fiasco I cancelled my next procedure with a doctor that was quiet expensive.
