Came in to get a brow tint & lamination. The technician Fabiola was very pleasant & seemed knowledgeable. She did the lamination process, but told me is was " illegal" in California to do tinting? I found out later that wasn't true. The service was ok, but she didn't really ask how I wanted my brows or even hand me a mirror until the very end. For $80, I expected more. I will find somewhere else to go. read more

It was well over a year since I had my brows waxed before I booked my appointment with Brenda. I was terribly nervous because I walked away from my last brow appointment (at a random salon in LA), with half of one brow missing and a straight, pencil-thin line where the other brow should've been. Mind you, I'm a natural blonde, so my brows are already fairly sparse (aside from peach fuzz). Back to Brenda--she turned my brows into Pinterest-worthy masterpieces! After she waxed my brows, she took the time to show me how to shape and fill them in. She even gave me tips on grooming my brows between appointments. I highly recommend the Benefit Brow Bar, especially if you are completely lost when it comes to the patches of hair above your eyes. Beautiful brows will change your entire face. My second time to see Fabiola. I'm not impressed. The first time it seemed like she was having a bad day so I listened to her vent about her son and his dad and how people would be hired to work at the Brow Bar and then quit after a few months. I liked what she did for my brows so I decided to come back. I had an appointment and was right on time. She wasn't at the counter so I had to ask someone else who told me she was coming. It took another few minutes of waiting before she appeared. I'm used to talking about what look I'm going for, seeing what they draw on my brows and being asked what I'd like. She didn't do that either time. The second time she said literally five words to me the entire time. "Brows today?" And then "Take a look," and handed me a mirror when she was done, which was the first time I'd seen a mirror the whole time. I think she did a good job on my brows but would have preferred to have been asked for input as they are much thicker than I would have liked. She also didn't ask if I'd like make up to cover the redness or if I'd like to let my skin breathe, she just started putting make up on. Depending on my plans for the rest of the day I could go either way. I'll be taking my business somewhere with better communication and customer service! read more

Im not sure what has happened to Ulta in Sand City.. Oh! I know! That great great manger Alberto is no longer working there He was the best at his job and his customer service was outstanding. There is a new manaher there. Nice enough, but surprisingly so, she doesn't know diddly about the products! Ive witnessed this twice. Once with me and watched her hand off another customer off to staff. The ONLY reason I still will go to Ulta in Sand City is the Bene Bar FABIOLA!! LOVEthat lady does a great jobe. Always makes me look better when I leave! But Another problem is that I tried calling for two days straight and the store would leave me on hold FOREVER. I CALLED BACK 5 TIMES. I finally drove down to the shop... Only to see this poor gal at the register smiling and making the best out of the extremely long line forming and Nobody to help check out! I waited over 10 minutes in line. IM ON CRUTCHES for Gods sake! Crazy. Get a manager back in there who has a lil, just even a smidge of what Alberto showed and thats half the battle. Great managers create Great staff and customer service which will definately make the profits. I would rather drive 20+ miles to a different location than even deal with unknowledeable staff and poor or unfriendly staff Anyday!! Ulta only as good as the few who love their jobs! Thanks Fabiola! I've been coming to this Ulta ever since I moved to Monterey to get my eyebrows done. Fabiola does a good job and when Brenda was working there at the time she was the main girl I would go to to get my eyebrows done since she did really well. Fabiola does an excellent job as she is so sweet and funny. We have nice conversations and she has excellent customer service skills and does a really good job with my eyebrows as she takes her time, pays attention to detail, doesn't rush, and is good with people. I highly recommend Fabiola if you want to get your eyebrows done at Ulta. read more

You will all prolly think I'm crazy coming back here after the Fabiola debacle, but I have heard terrible things about the Del Monte Macy's brow bar since Sonja has been on leave, so I decided to give brandy a shot. She seemed to have decent reviews and I liked the eyebrows she had herself (which is usually a good sign) and OMG DID SHE WORK WONDERS. It's gonna take a few more months of growing for my brows for be exactly what they were but brandy really worked with nothing and made them look so much better!!! I actually like them again and feel confident, only have to do a fill in here or there until the hair Fabiola ripped off grows back. Oh, and it didn't hurt at all! Not sure why Fabiola's did so much.. but bottom line deff see brandy if you want nice thick arched (and painless) brows. read more

It was my first time and I think overall I had a good experience. I mentioned to Brenda that I get burnt easily from hot wax but she was very reassuring that the wax is ok, even for sensitive skin. The small talk was great and I felt very relaxed. The only negative aspect was that I very much for burnt. It is red and swollen everywhere the wax touched. So I'm a little bummed out but I think it's shame on me for not doing my research and recognizing that it was a wax only service. I don't think I'll return but if I do, I will still ask for Brenda. I'll just re-explain that the wax need to really cool down before she puts it on my face. read more

My experience at the Benefit Brow Bar at Ulta was AMAZING! It wasn't busy so I did a walk in, and Brandy did such an amazing job! I had showed her a picture and told her exactly what I wanted. She took her time and map my eyebrows and showed me the hairs she was going to wax. She knew what she was doing and before she had moved on to my right eyebrow she asked me if I was satisfied with my left eyebrow and I was, but there were some extra eyebrow hairs and she was happy to pluck those out. It's was great getting my eyebrows done by Brandy! Definitely would get them done by her again! read more
