The salon was very clean, they disinfected everything, masks are mandatory and if you forget to bring one, they give you one for the cost of £1. I was first introduced to Bella Spa a few years ago by a friend who regularly gets her nails done here. I used to get my nails done regularly too but at present I tend to go when I have a special occasion. I prefer Gellish to Shellac as in my opinion they tend to last longer. They always have a wonderful selection of colours to choose from. Angela and her staff are fantastic, I thoroughly enjoy my visits. You can even take your own bubbly with you and they'll provide you with glasses! The location is perfect, just behind Primark so it's very central. The building doesn't look like a spa from the outside but once you get inside that changes immediately. It's appointment only so make sure you ring before you go.

I really really wanted him to be good but unfortunately he wasn't, I'm not sure if it was just inexperience and he'll improve with time. He didn't listen to what I asked him to do. I have incredibly fine hair and am desperate for anything that will give it more volume. He asked me to remove my necklace (a thin chain) while he cut my hair, I'd never been asked to do that before but I soon found out why as he really dug the scissors in uncomfortably close to the back of neck. He took an incredibly long time to cut it, wandering off to consult with another junior worker who was dyeing someone's hair under his supervision. When I saw what he'd done, which was basically sculpt my hair flat to my head like a skull cap, I told him I'd asked him for volume. He shrugged and told me it was too difficult with my hair not in a dismissive way but more like there was nothing more he could do all while stood next to a poster proclaiming the numerous volume inducing products available. I'm not saying I want hairdressers to do the hard sell with me with products but was hoping there was something that could be done. I'm not proud of this but I cried when I got up to leave. Disappointment and the sheer frustration of someone just not listening to you got to me. Fortunately the manager who took my payment, saw I was upset and took me upstairs to explain the things that could be done to improve the cut in terms of styling. I don't think this was too much to ask of him. I haven't been back there since and I'm not sure I will. As much as I would like to say it's just hair, it's important and you're trusting someone to take scissors to part of you so you need to trust them. The rest of the hairdressers I've seen there have always been good so I think it's just a bad experience but unfortunately it's really turned me off there which is a shame.

Friendly team and excellent service. Harriet is fast and my gel nails always look fab and last longer than any others I've had in the past. You also get offered a complimentary glass of bubbles which goes down a tear while getting your nails pampered. Gel nails cost £22 with removal of previous set included. I recently had my gels off which is £5 or free with any service, so I opted for a file and polish which cost £8 and lasted literally 10 days before it started to chip. Amazing! You can book online and I would highly recommend Harriet's service for nails. I can't comment on other beauticians as haven't experienced their services.

The staff are very friendly here and great at helping me decide on colours. They also do acrylic nails, waxing, Eve Taylor and microdermabrasion facials, spray tanning, massages, hd brows, lash extensions and make up. A unique thing I don't normally see is that they also do 3D nail art and lots of interesting finishes like cracked glass, foil and ombre, so it's great for party nails or getting something unique and creative.
