I would NOT recommend this company at all…read more And if the system had allowed me, I would not have given any stars at all. Mr. Davis recently abandoned the project less than halfway through, and in doing so, did not honor the contract. He refused to be open for discussion around any details or reasoning. I am now out $4k, which includes a $3k deposit and the purchase of my own fixtures upwards of $900-$1k. These materials were supposed to be included- according to the written contract. Mr. Davis constantly complained about the budget, but ignored my repeated requests for an itemization and/or a detailed break down of the job in addition to the basic written contract. Mr. Davis wanted to install fixtures of the lowest grade and quality, and he didn't hesitate to tell me that his intent was to install "basic" materials. I suspect that he wanted to use materials possibly from a contractor surplus. Mr. Davis showed a lack of maturity in commitment to professional obligations by frequently canceling and rescheduling days and times. He regularly told me that he was short staffed and had multiple projects going on. His workers lacked professionalism in that, one showed up wreaking of alcohol as if he was actually consuming in that moment. In another instance, with a different worker, when I returned from running an errand, I smelled marijuana, as if someone had either smoked or vaped. Aside from the schedule being inconsistent and unreliable, including multiple days off, the projected job completion was overdue by more than two weeks, his workers worked short hours and would take a regular one hour break. In the first two weeks, a worker spent more time sitting on the porch smoking and playing on his cell phone than he did of actual work. This worker in particular would show up an hour later than scheduled, turn on the lights, then go back outside for a smoke break for upwards of 40 minutes before starting. Prior to Mr. Davis abandoning the project and breaking the contract, I had addressed concerns about the shower and/or walls appearing uneven or unleveled. Initially, they (Mr. Davis and his crew) insisted that it was impossible to make it level blaming the age and position of the house. I contended that the bathroom was previously gutted, and leveling was possible. The leveling was off by approximately 2 inches and everything appeared lopsided. That same day, the crew of 2 men worked in usual time to adjust the leveling concern, which is now sufficient. That was the last day anyone showed up. My front porch and entry hallway was left cluttered with construction materials, trash and debris, and the job is incomplete. Throughout the project, Mr. Davis repeatedly hinted towards more money from the beginning of the second week. At that point, the only thing that had been done was wiring for the installation of a new outlet and light switch. Mr. Davis came across as threatening at times in text communication about the project, and once followed me around Lowe's where I felt very intimidated and nearly bullied. I went to Lowe's to price fixtures because Mr. Davis repeatedly denied my suggestions on fixtures, specifically, a standup shower unit. No matter which item I suggested, he repeatedly stated that I was going over budget; again, even without providing an itemization for the project budget. In one instance Davis even recommended an item that was more expensive. The item was at Home Depot, as opposed to Lowe's, which is where I ultimately purchased the item out of my own pocket. Mr. Davis consistently and repeatedly told me that he wasn't making any money on my project, that he was going into his own pocket, and upon the last communication, said that he went into debt on my project. However, as initially stated, I provided a deposit of $3k and purchased my own fixtures. Prior to hiring Mr. Davis, I had obtained an estimate from an established public construction corporation. Everything is broken down in precise detail, included more items & work, and is within the same project cost range.

I couldn't be happier, especially because they were determined to do an excellent job. After they left, I noticed some problems; I called and they came back the next morning and fixed not only the problems that I identified, but also others that had escaped my notice. I highly recommend them. Nancy M.
