Since the first seizure, I woke up to dr Mcleod greeting me and saying I would be okay. A year later i was doing better, and went for a check up with Mcleod. After the tragedies of my life, Mcleod asked me during a routine visit "What exactly do you do" essentially implying that I need to get my sh*t together, while my life is falling apart. A few years later i had a mental disability with social security benefits approved, but I still remember my favorite Doctor implying that I am basically not worth helping because I was being too erratic. (which happens with brain trauma as he knows. So be wary that Mcleod is a good doctor, until things get too serious, than he will possibly insult your kid because he is acting weird at the office. Its easy to say "so what, so what, so what" but I do know that the hippocratic oath that doctors take is not flexible based on how rich you are. Anyway Mcleod turned on me after i became mentally ill, instead of just physically ill. He was my favorite doctor, and now he scares me that he would give up on me at such a young age. Now not to say he isnt worth it as a doctor, but beware if you cross a certain line he will not be kind about it.

Dr. Furness is a kind and compassionate yet thorough physician. He comes in and talks to you, the…read morepatient, immediately welcoming you to the office. After his initial consultation and evaluation, he then goes over solutions. Recently, I had belonged to a Medical Group where the doctor would immediately come in and go to the computer, spending less that 2 1/2 minutes of personal time with me as the patient. This became a regular routine, where after all the computer input had been done, then the exam would take place, usually in a rapid manner. The opposite is true of Dr. Furness. I would say his strength is he obviously does his homework before even coming through the door. He knows why you are there and is already prepared to offer options depending on the ailment. He is easily accessible through his office and/or online and is prompt to respond. The most important aspect and quality of Dr. Furness is that he treats his patient as an intelligent adult and listens to options or ideas that the patient has to offer. He is not a doctor who lives off his ego, rather he lives to fulfill his chosen path of healing.
