My daughter is well behaved, she has been sense Pre-kindergarten. The environment is great, they learn so much. More advanced now then it was when I was young. I know all my daughter's teachers and I would highly recommend Sunny Slope. All the teachers are real good with the kids. If you want to send your child to a private school, then that's up to you, but why pay the extra money just to get your kids the same education that you would get in the Omaha Public School System? So for the parents bringing their children to this day care wonder why their children are coming home sick when they were perfectly fine at drop-off, it's because nothing is being cleaned or sanitized and the "inspector" would rather just fill out false information than do his actual job. The staff acts one way with the parents to their face and behave and play on their phones once the parents are gone. So please consider your children's health and well being before bringing them here. Yes, cheap and easy daycare but I won't be bringing my daughter back here with because of what a employee who works there now told me and I appreciate her for being honest with me about what really goes on there.

Terrible Daycare! Many ways they were not taking care of my 14 month old daughter, but they…read morecrossed the line when they were physically jerking her around by her arm and dragging her accross the floor. Not once, but TWICE! Only reason I knew about it was because I was watching via their webcam. Very apologetic and told me that wasn't their policy the first time and that they'd talk to the other teachers. The next time it was the LEAD TEACHER that did it. She was fired, but the first teacher wasn't. Was only fired 3 days later after I pulled my daughter from their care. Separately, I was in directors office when an older kid came in with a red, ichy swollen hand. Teacher said girl likely having an allergic reaction (I nonverbally agreed because I have allergies myself). Director just said oh looks like dry skin, put some lotion on it. But dry skin doesn't swell your hand to that degree. Generally, they didn't care for my daughter and she wasn't thriving. They didn't listen to what I told them (example: Her security item was her blanket, but they continuously would not give it to her. Instead, they automatically stuck the pacifier in her mouth. One teacher who listened (but didn't relay the information to the other teachers) commented that wow, that blanket really does help.) Quality of care is greatly lacking. Almost no individual care. Also, my daughter had ~3 injury reports in her short time there and those didn't include them jerking her around by her arm. She's been in other daycares with similar environment and never had any of these issues. She's outgoing, so I was surprised how much she didn't like this daycare in general.

I did a little digging on TikTok too. There has been at least 1 suicide in the past few years. I found the name of one student, I'm trying to find one I heard about from 2018-2019. My kid goes here and he's been dealing with bullying. The school insists they do not allow bullying. I wish they'd open their eyes and stop denying there's a problem here. Teachers I've spoken with says Buffett used to be a good school until 4-5 ish years ago. They all say the same things. I've been doing a lot of digging lately because of the stuff my kid has been going through. The stuff OPS allows is absolutely sickening. The ratings for the entire district are well below average. This school in particular practices collective punishment- punishing an entire grade for the actions of a few. They took snack time away from every kid in 7th grade because they had problems with some kids popping chip bags. The email went out to only 7th grade students, not parents. Collective punishment is what they do in the military it's not meant for children in school. It is a lazy way of not getting to the bottom of a real issue and promotes bullying. It also creates resentment from the students who do nothing wrong. Of all the things good students do for this school, punishing them when the typical problem kids mess up, is wrong.
