We had a chance to visit the farmer's market where we saw Benny's chicken. Immediately we tried it as we have heard great things about spicy Korean chicken. Indeed they were true. The Korean chicken was hot and crispy and not to mention very tender. The sauce on it, was absolutely match made in heaven. Next, the chicken bites almost felt like homemade chicken bites which we have back home ( India). Must must visit. Service was quick.

Benny's Teriyaki Chicken (really good -- 8.5/9 out of 10!)

We tried Benny's Chicken at the Albert Cuypmarkt. My fiance and I shared the teriyaki chicken. Overall, it was really good and only 6.95 euros which was enough for 2 people to snack on. The service was very quick and the guys were extremely friendly. I would absolutely return and try a few other options! *Teriyaki Chicken pictured below. Overall Rating - 8.5/9 out of 10.

"Come eat my chicken!" Wait... say what? "Yes, you there. Come eat my chicken. Cluck Cluck. Eat it now." Girl, how can you say no to that kind of proposal? I was feeling clucky myself so it was perfect to try some good chicken here at Albert Cuyp Market. Benny's and its competitors offers €2.50 chicken deals which includes wings, sandwiches, etc. The chicken looks like it's been roasting for a few hours and you can try a sample yourself before purchasing an actual meal. It was definitely tasty and I enjoyed the wings a whole lot. They weren't my absolute favorite but they certainly helped to fill my wing void as I was walking around the market. Come here and try some yourself. If you get swayed by the chicken gods, don't fight it. Embrace it.

Located in Albert Cuyp Markt, Benny's is one of the many halal restaurants in Amsterdam. I had bookmarked this prior to my visit because the good reviews. The shop is pretty easy to locate as the guys working there are loud and will shout at you to come and try their chicken. The food itself is really good! You get a lot for your money and it's supper filling. I got the chicken sandwich with cheese and onions and asked them to make it spicy. Their version of spicy means putting 3 slices of red pepper and that's all. They'll warm up the sandwich and you can choose to eat it at the table next to the shop or take it to go. The tables have various sauces that are all delicious. They also have napkins and hand sanitizer that you can use. As previously mentioned, they are constantly shouting and sometimes will make awkward comments to girls so if you chose to eat at the tables, you're going to get annoyed

Cheap chicken dishes at the Albert Cuypmarkt! My friend really loved this place and kept going back for their chicken sandwiches but I thought they were just alright. All of their chickens are marinated in some sort if spicy sauce and come out red. Everything looks appetizing and is kept warm and everything is €2.50 at this stand. What I liked about Benny's is that they had a big selection of about 6/7 sauces that you could take as much as you want of. These sauces could essentially change the flavor of every bite and most of them were unique flavors. Its cheap and good for the price, and the sellers are very personable. Furthermore, the chicken is tender but I just wasn't a fan of the flavor and the oily-ness of the chicken. I would prefer food from other stands at this market instead.

actually 1 half-chicken!! all this for 10 euros

Some items are vendor machine style where you charge your card and the door unlocks so you can pull your food out. Some items and drinks you order at the counter. Their croquettes are tasty and crispy. Our favorite was the Sate. Almost had a curry type flavor. Surprisingly I also enjoyed their fries "Special" which is also known as "The Dutch Way". It had mayo, sate sauce, and chopped onions. It was delicious and the fries come out super fresh and hot! Very small eating area with a counter along the window. It's more of a grab & go place, or quick bites. Definitely need to try this place while in Amsterdam.

Both the veal and satay croquette were tasty, but the satay was my favorite. Crispy outside, tasty inside that reminded me a little of curry, and it was hot. Also got the fries "Dutch style" (according to the guy) - fries with mayo, satay sauce, and onions. I was skeptical, but it was good! They make the fries fresh and they were crispy outside, soft inside, and hot! I think you can also order burgers at the counter. This location isn't super big, but there's a small seating area to the side. It was past 10 but a lot of people were in and out getting snacks. This place opens until 2, so that's a plus for a late night food run. When in Amsterdam, try it out!
