We paid Steven Hann 290,000 to bring the house back to original condition plus a few upgrades. Steven promised he would have the house completed by January latest February of 2019.  Delays Steven delayed the projected 6 months he was still working on the house in August of 2019. Steven blamed everyone but himself, he blamed his manager Logan Lippoldt who he said was incompetent, he then blamed the mortgage company because he said they delayed the payments from the flood insurance check. He then blamed us for taking too long to come up with decisions such as paint. I originally told Steven my business partners and I were looking for a contractor to help us build out 5-10 retail stores. After the house was delayed multiple months and I asked Steven how can I trust you to build the stores in a timely manner his response was it's no skin off my nose if I don't get the job. I have more work then I can handle. Arrogant and Rude Steven would constantly have massive blowouts with everyone on the project. Logan Lippoldt his site manager left Hann Builders in the middle of the project. Stevens other trades people would complain to me that Steven would not pay them which demotivated them from working diligently on the project. Steven would have massive blowouts with both my mother and father who are both senior citizens.  Dishonest and Crooked Steven would constantly cut corners to save himself money on the project. Our window trims were originally an expensive stained wood trim but Steven replaced it with a cheap regular white trim. Then He painted the rest of the frames to make it match. Our crown molding was a high grade stained would as well. Steven used a faux paint for the crown molding he applied which is noticeably different from the stained wood. Please review the pic below of the stained wood meeting faux paint. Steven would also always mention that his people had to do additional work and he applied for credit from another portion of the job. On a few occasions he asked me to pay his trades people. I had a contract with Steven Hann the contractor and not his tradesmen. I have no idea why he requested for me to pay his tradesmen when I had already negotiated a price with him. Steven also incorrectly installed our kitchen island and then when we told him he made a mistake he told us he would redo it if we paid half for the the material he destroyed.  Did not Pull Permits Steven did not pull a single permit for the job. In our contract it clearly states Steven would pull the permits and he allotted over 1000.00 of the budget for permits but he did not pull a single permit. When it came for me to have my gas meter installed the city informed me Steven had not pulled a single permit and we would have to apply for a building permit, plumbing permit and electrical permit. When I informed Steven of this he quit picking up my calls leaving the house incomplete. We paid him everything except $5000.00 so my assumption is he decided it was more headache then it was worth. It cost us an additional $7000 to pull the permits and Steven left the house incomplete with no railings for the staircase. He also promised a 1 year warranty which he obviously is not planning on honoring. The city permitting officials took exceptional offense to Stevens' actions since I was a Harvey victim. The are strongly encouraging me to report Steven to State Attorney General's Office for not pulling permits and walking out on the job and breaching the contract

The grout wasn't properly mixed, and my tiles and schluter are lifting 8 months after it is installed. I had my floor redone from tile to wood , they didn't float the floor properly, you can see gaps in the baseboard and see many area that had hump which cause the floor to crack. Electrical wiring for my dishwasher wasn't properly installed, even best buy didn't want to touch it. The only good thing I can really say is window installation was done well. It's excuses after excuses. Whenever I asked to get it fixed, it seems like David was doing my a favor. I would steer clear.

I have seen numerous jobs done that had customers put out for months at a time on a job that should have taken a week. Torn out complete granite and tile work routinely sometimes three times before getting it right. They have electrical run by guys who are hourly labor for the company and is questionable if they have any certification at all even on a journeyman level. Make sure you ask if you decide to use them because in order to be a journeyman, you are required 4 years of on the job training while attending school one night a week to attain this certification. So before you allow them to touch your home on any electrical issue ask to see there certification.

I had Advanced Home Exteriors replace the siding on my home, as well as the exterior doors. Out of…read more3 bids, theirs was the most reasonable, plus I saw that they had a history of good reviews and had also done good work for a friend. Overall I was very impressed by the quality of installation of the siding -- Hardie board underlain by 3/4" strandboard, with sealant and painting. The precision of assembly was quite good, and a considerable improvement in strength and durability over the original siding. Likewise, the doors were installed with good precision, and they function well. I was less impressed with the finer painting of the doors. The basic contract included only exterior painting of the doors in the same color as the exterior of the house. We wanted a different colored door, plus we wanted to have the interiors of the doors painted, as well as the addition and painting of corresponding trim (doors have 2 sides). This was all coordinated directly with the project supervisor for an additional fee. This additional work was mostly completed on the final day of the project, and appeared to be a rush job. The trim was added with rough jointing, and the painting around the doors was amateurish with much overpainting of adjacent surfaces. I had to subsequently revise the painting myself to achieve an adequate quality. Overall, the work on the exterior siding and door installation was excellent, and I highly reccommend Advanced Home Exteriors for this. Finer painting about the doors was a weaker area, and I'm knocking off a star for that.

The quote was very competitive and fair ! Frank did negotiate with me, which made what I felt was a great deal. Of course, using my credit card with no extra fee, was icing on the cake. Doesn't hurt to get some extra airline miles. Project started on schedule, delayed a bit to all the rain, but finished in a reasonable time. Workmanship and clean up, perfect! Contact with Frank was very responsive. Thanks guys! Looking forward to extend my warranty in two years.

The owner, Frank Solis, is extremely knowledgeable, professional, and patient. He was there the entire time and was always in communication with us no matter how busy he was. We knew all the details of what was going on, and when new things came up (as they always do with these projects as you progress through), Frank and his guys handled them all extremely well and kept us informed. I had a gorgeous custom stained cedar fence installed. Image #1 Neighbor to my left (Jim) had his rotted back garage wall rebuilt, the door header, jam and all garage siding replaced. Three new exterior doors installed, all new hardware. All the house siding panels replaced, rotted porch ceilings repaired, window calking replaced and the entire house and garage power washed and repainted. Image #2 & 3 Neighbor to my right (Micheal) had a built-in carport built, wired for security lights and painted. Three others had misc fence and exterior repairs. A&M has also been doing work for some of our relatives. Alec is a preferred contractor on my street (Braesview Lane in Breasvalley) and his wife provides thorough, easy to understand invoices. I am simply making this recommendation out of appreciation for the wonderful job they have done for my neighbors and I. We are so pleased to have found this family company to work on our homes.
