It is so much cheaper at Sam's. Took her forever to try and figure out how to reimburse me she was rude the entire time, she then called for the manager and what a joke she was. They could not use the computer. They charged me $8.31 for using a debit card, they do not take checks, huge sign on the wall stating that. I told them it would be nice if they would let people know there was a charge for using a debit card and you could not write a check prior to the visit. They both looked at me like I was in the wrong for stating that. Then they charged $6.00 for writing a prescription plus you have to pay for an office visit. The rude receptionist ask me did I want my dogs' records, basically telling me I was not welcomed back due to their incompetence. It was 5pm (close to closing time) when I called the clinic and they said if I could get her there before 5:30 they would stay and tend to her needs. I'm 15 miles away but made it there in 20 minutes. The staff was so kind and comforting. I knew Lucy was in good hands right away. Lucy had to stay with them a few days and had several follow-up visits but she is finally well. Many, many thanks to Viking Hospital for being there in Lucy's time of need. They took her back for triage and we met with Dr. Trachtenberg who was very clear on her labs and what he thought was going on. We get home and think everything is ok and then our 15 year old Beaux has even worse symptoms. Blood is everywhere and we are in a panic. We call and say we're headed back up there. This time we met with Dr. Monceaux who evaluated Beaux. They're both diagnosed with gastroenteritis and pancreatitis. From the moment we stepped in the door, every single person we met was so nice and comforting. They explained EVERYTHING and nothing was done without our approval and without us knowing the price. What makes them standout is the heart they have for our babies. They love them like it's their own. They go the extra mile with calling twice a day for updates, texts with financial updates, and pictures 3 times a day. We could call or just drop in and visit with them. We were never rushed or made to feel like a bother. As a pet parent, that peace of mind is PRICELESS. I have never experienced such love and compassion for my kiddos.
