Excellent service. I just got my first dog Zoë. It was her first vet visit with me, her new momma. They took very good care of us and made me feel welcome and confident in my choice of a pet care provider! They were sensitive to the fact that I was new to fur baby motherhood explaining the method of treatments in detail, answering all my questions, and walking me through everything. It was super clean and friendly! The other patients that came in and out were also very nice ! A follow up call was made the next day to check on Zoë to make sure we were recovering well! I had recently adopted a cat from a rescue but he seemed to be having some issues. The rescue had me bring him here as this is the vet they use. Not the vet we normally use but we will from now on. The entire staff is so friendly and attentive, not just for our furry friends either, they had a basket of toys for my wild toddler as well. The vet was wonderful and she told me in great detail what each step of the exam was looking for and what it entailed. They don't just see domestic animals either, I saw on the sign they also see "exotic" animals so figured it couldn't hurt to ask if they also see pot belly pigs as we have had a hard time finding vet care for our 6 pigs and they do! I was just so blown away by my experience that I had to let everyone know. This will be our vet office from now on. read more

New patient - I was 10 minutes late and they wanted to charge me a late fee. I thought that was a little ridiculous. Be aware of that. They also said I didn't send the right shot records. I emailed them on Friday and they didn't get back to me. My appointment was today. They are unorganized. I've never had a problem with the certificate I've used for rabies and shot record but they complained about it. And I've brought that shot record to two places to board my dog. I will take my dog to another vet to be seen. There's many other options. They made it clear they don't want my business. read more

Anyone that has pets knows that you need to have a reliable veterinarian just in case your pet gets sick. Now I for example have 2 cats that getting quite a bit of trouble and sometimes one of them ends up getting hurt. I have to take him somewhere and I know that they will really really take care of my cats here so this is where I like to bring them. I always get treated like I'm the number one customer and I never feel like I'm getting second-rate service. My cats are always very very happy and extremely healthy thanks to them and their great service and regard to the cost it's very very low and they work with you for payments. Dr. Squires and her team at Halcyon Veterinary Hospital are hands-down the best animal care team we've ever come across. They were happy and willing to squeeze in our 13 year old poodle mix (Sushi), a new patient for them, same day when she came down with a nasty ear infection. Kelly was an awesome technician and very understanding, knowledgeable, and thorough with her intake. Dr. Squires was extremely hands on, highly intelligent, patient (I'm a crazy worry wart dog mom), and was able to explain things and educate in layman's terms exceptionally well. Sushi was doing better within 24 hours and Cora called to check on her the next day, which was very nice. Shortly after our initial experience with the team in regards to Sushi, our puppy (Coffee), also a new patient to Halcyon, was seen. Coffee had been seen by several other vet clinics in the area and no one was able to diagnose and treat an ongoing eye issue she was having for about 20 days. The team took Coffee in early in the morning and kept her throughout the early afternoon. Secret was extremely friendly, engaging, and helpful; Coffee loved her! Erin was awesome; very engaging and warm. The team kept us updated throughout the day via text and let us know everything they were thinking/doing step by step along the way. Dr. Squires was able to diagnose and treat Coffee's eye issue that she was having, which brought us so much ease and happiness! After dealing with her eye issue for the past 20 days with really no sign of improvement despite several different treatments, we were feeling very anxious and frustrated. The team at Halcyon was able to immediately put our worries to rest. Coffee and Sushi both are extremely calm and cheerful when visiting Halcyon and we know how well they're taken care of. We typically would have been so worried and nervous leaving our puppy at a clinic all morning and afternoon but we were not worried at all and knew she was in the absolute best hands. She even left with a cute scarf, a new hairdo, and some good smelling perfume! All around, Halcyon is an amazing animal hospital and wonderful team! DR. SQUIRES and her entire team are amazing. They are SKILLED, KIND and LOVING and my pugs loved them. We adopt senior pugs to provide them with their forever home. This comes with medical challenges. Our most difficult was Dingo. He had trouble with his back legs. After much treatment, our family vet recommended laser treatment at Airline Vet. Off we went. They did all they could and highly recommended DR. SQUIRES at HALCYON VET for ACUPUNCTURE. That's how we found the BEST VET I've ever used. I'm 68 so I've used a few. DR. SQUIRES cared for him and genuinely loved him. All DINGO's techs are wonderful - Secret and Charlotte and ZOE who was Dingo's tech during his last stretch and hardest times. This woman is awesome! I absolutely love Halcyon! I have moved from Lubbock to San Antonio to Bossier since graduating college. I got my puppy while I was still in college so I have had to take her to 3 different vets in all three cities. Halcyon is by far the best. The staff is super friendly. My dog has gotten into a toxic palm twice and never once has Dr. Squires made me feel like a bad dog mom. Instead she makes sure to take the best care of Mae. Every time we come she knows exactly who we are. She makes sure to take her time and answer any and all questions we have. She never tries to get us in and out. The whole staff is super sweet and they do a great job. I now live in Houston for school, but thankfully my family still lives there and I will only take my dog there when something is wrong. read more

Yall I've never felt better about having to take my kitty in. She's a very old cat about 17 and as a very concerned momma I voiced these to the Doctor. I also told her I had a budget of 100 she was a to only give the shots a senior I door kitty needed and the blood work she needed based off of her looks. I payed 108 for the whole visit. 8 dollars over my budget was doable. Bonus was the Doctor herself called with the blood test results.. my baby got an A+. We will be moving our 6 other cats and 3 dogs to her as needed!! read more

Our kitten was very sick and our regular vet couldn't fit him into the schedule. On a friends suggestions I called this vet and they encouraged me to bring in my boy ASAP.
