It's a little confusing because the window display is like you'd see at a jewellery store, so don't let that put you off if you're looking for a present. Inside they have a pretty big range of stuff - teddy bears seem to be a main feature as there's a whole wall of them (Charlie Bears). They're also pretty expensive! They also sell watches and then other collectable items. If you knew someone who liked collecting figurines then this could be a good place to shop. Personally, it's not my kind of stuff but the staff were friendly enough while we browsed.

Eric N Smith is owned and run by Eric and his wife Yvonne and they are actual, proper, genuine jewelers in that they know everything there is to know about different precious metals and stones. This family travel across the globe to find the best materials to use in their stunning jewelry. As well as selling their own designs, Eric N Smith also stock some top of the range brands such as Faberge, Montblanc, Breitling, Gucci and Bulgari. When I visited the store looking for a unique ring to celebrate my 21st an assistant sat with me for at least an hour while I hummed and hawed over what I wanted. She was extremely knowledgeable and was very mindful of my limited budget of £100. I ended up with a beautiful silver ring in a really unusual shape with a lovely green peridot stone in it. I had picked the metal, the band and the size, shape and colour of the stone for myself, with the help of the assistant, and I am happy to know that no-one else will have a ring exactly like mine. Next time you are in the market for a piece of jewelry for yourself or a loved one consider trying Eric N Smith instead of heading for the usual Links Of London and Pandora type stores. You're guaranteed to get something special which will make a great, unique heirloom someday.

My Auntie has bought a lot of jewellery here and recommended them to take a look at it. Being a family heirloom I decided to take her device. You need to buzz into the shop as a pre warning. There are 2 parking spaces out the front. The lady, Tracy who helped me was lovely. She said she wasn't sure if they could make the ring smaller but did say they could potentially add tiny balls inside the ring to reduce the inside circumference. I left he ring with her and got a text two days later to explain what work could be done. The refitting and cleaning of the ring took about a week and a half and I could not be happier with the results. A lovely local jewellers that definitely know there stuff!

A one stop shop for all your pesty repairs, key cutting and the like. This is a tiny shop situated…read moreon Clarkston Road, closer to the Cathcart end than the Clarkston end. It's bright blue shop front makes it easy to spot and really makes an impact on this main road. The shop sign itself states very clearly what this business provides - though, does not so clearly make the business name known. For this reason, I've ingeniously named/nicknamed it Watch Repairs Etc. This is due to watch repairs being the first service listed on the sign, hence (possibly) their primary service and/or area of business. However, they also dabble in key cutting, shoe repairs and engraving. So this is an excellent all rounder of a shop. They are also, to my knowledge, not listed in any other websites or directory papers etc. Thus, they remain something of a little known secret. This is perhaps why they are usually fairly quiet (hence service is quick, efficient and to a high standard), reasonably priced and take the extra time to provide quality customer service. All of which are pleasant surprises and something of a dying bred in the retail world.

Garden gnomes? Yup. Like I said, they have everything here and it is an exciting place to browse, as there are buckets upon buckets filled to the brim with knick knacks and hardware goods. So if you're feeling inspired and want to do some DIY around the house but have forgotten to buy that tiny screw driver for fiddly nails then this store is a good shout. When the weather permits many of the goods are displayed on the pavement just outside the shop. I came here a few months ago looking for some batteries and they had plenty of them and they weren't too pricey either. The shop owner was very friendly and asked if I needed any help. After that he got me my batteries quick smart and I was on my way satisfied that I could now put some juice in my camera and take some nice new pictures. A great little shop.

Silverburn is my favourite shopping centre in Glasgow.. So what makes it so good.. The multi storey car park has a great lighting set up to let you know where a free space is.. If you look at the roof you'll see lots of red and green lights.. If you see a green light underneath it will be a free parking space.. There are lots of different shops all the kids you want even a small version of debenhams.. And the food on offer is great. wagamama, nandos, you sushi, the list goes on.. There are lots of lovely little stalls dotted about where you can buy some original not in the high street type things. There is also a big tesco attached and a newly opened cineworld..

I have mixed feelings about Silverburn hence the 3 stars…read more Things that are good about it: - It's indoors - handy for shopping in the rain (which is most of the time) - Good selection of shops including clothes, food, homewares - Some pretty ok places to eat, I normally go to Yo Sushi when I'm here but don't mind the odd Nando's/Wagamama. There's a few new eating places too - Giraffe, Zizzi and Carluccio's is opening later this year. Things that aren't so good about it: - It's a bit of a strange shape so it means you'll walk from one end to the other, and then remember something you need at M&S or Tesco, and have to walk all the way back again - The car park is a bit of a nightmare. I try to avoid visiting on the weekend as even then it's hard to park. At Christmas you'd be better off getting public transport if you're really desperate to shop here. - The toilets seem like they're really far apart I go here when I need to, but I rarely visit just for a wander around the shops anymore.
