When he left, our understanding was they were going to start the process - unless we got a call. Two days went by and we called them because we hadn't heard anything. They said they called us and neither of us had a message or a missed call. We had two extra days of heat because they dropped the ball. We understand, it's summer and we were facing the 4th of July, so we didn't expect an immediate fix. I wrote this in a review to the company and never heard anything in response to my complaints. We ended up going to their competitors getting a significantly lower quote and a quicker install. I have used this company in the past, but will never use them again.

We recently called Foster Mechanical for help when our furnace unexpectedly had an issue late at…read morenight. They picked up right away and were able to come out to our house within 20 minutes. Josh, our technician, was friendly, honest, and didn't mind when we wanted to ask questions about what he was testing or what he thought might be the issue. When it looked like the issue might not get solved that night, he was sure to ask about our comfort and whether or not we had a way to keep our house warm until the issue could be resolved. When it turned out we didn't, he brought us some company heaters to use. When we ended up needing to speak to Seth the owner, he was straightforward, honest, and personable. The issue was resolved as quickly as possible, and everyone was so kind, professional, and willing to go above and beyond. The integrity and professionalism at this company is so high. We could not recommend Foster Mechanical enough - they will definitely be our first choice for all our HVAC needs in the future!

He said that he would call me as soon as he returned to his headquarters and let me know if he could order a new controller. Another lie... That call never came. So I called... and called... for 2 days. No answer... nothing. I called a competitor and they immediately were there for me. Knowing how life sucks without hot water. Turns out the water heater needed a new thermocouple not a $300 controller. Though it was recommended to be replaced due to age. A&E apparently was trying to swindle me. A&E eventually called over a week later. How is that for service? The kicker was the $156 bill for nothing but a lie. Use great caution when using this outfit. I called them today and asked them about the bill and their rude service manager told me that they didn't answer because there was something wrong with my phone (phone records say otherwise). His tech spent more time using my bathroom than he spent helping me and they charged me for his bowl movement. This outfit is very suspect. Use great caution when dealing with them and if you have an emergency I would highly suggest calling someone else that actually cares about their customers.

Called AEM Mechanical, Dennis came over, looked at it, got part ordered then came back, cleaned one thing, replaced bad part with new part all for a nominal fee. Furnace has run great ever since. Soon after that, house furnace went out and this one definitely need to be replaced. New furnace was in within 4 days, electrician came next day so house has heat also. for a 1 hour service i was charged 2.5 hours. jeff, the owner held me accountable for not filing an…read moreautographed timesheet from the tech. he claims to have gps tracking on his techs, but refused to look at my tech's time. he went on further to say his tech was actually in glencoe for a majority of my time. he threatened to take me to court while i disputed the charges. i told him i will fight every minute of that for consumer safety. further more, the tech claimed in his report that the problem was resolved, even tho i texted him the next day that house was still not at temp. i texted the tech twice before calling. no response. jeff wouldn't even be willing to listen to a 30 second explanation from me when i asked him multiple times to just stop yelling and listen for 30 seconds at 9PM on a tuesday night. he called me. a/c still not holding temp. will seek alternative options. also told me it took 6 months to pay my last bill. it took under 3, and that's only because the first 2 times i called in nobody knew how to process an AMEX card. i was asked multiple times to call back in when courtney is in the office. apparently she takes breaks sometimes too. took diligence on my side to even remember there was a bill that tek couldn't figure out how to process payment for. predatory company. I originally posted a review about this situation, and after doing so, a "Todd" reached out to me…read moreand said they were going to come look at the damage and concerns we had. However, at the end of the phone call, I was asked to delete the review. Wanting to give them the benefit of the doubt and assuming they intended to make things right, I deleted the review immediately. Unfortunately, no one showed up on the day they said they would, nor the following day when they again stated they would come out. This has been a very disappointing experience, especially considering we were not even the customers -- the work being done was for our neighbor's property, not ours. Despite that, our yard and personal property were affected during the process. Trash was left throughout our yard after the job was completed, including cigarette butts left outside where our three children play. Personal property was also moved without our permission, including our trampoline and soccer net. Afterward, we discovered damage that was not there before -- a bent trampoline bar and a broken ground stake for the soccer net. On top of that, the condition of the yard after the digging work was unacceptable. The dirt was poorly leveled and left uneven, and grass along the side of our house was covered with gravel after they filled in the hole they dug. It's frustrating to have our property damaged and disrespected when we weren't even the homeowners hiring the company. Accidents can happen, but professionalism should include respecting surrounding properties, following through on promises, cleaning up properly, and taking accountability for damages caused during the job.
