WOW! This is a rest stop cafeteria? It's absolutely wonderful. Clean, tidy, selection of salads…read moreand food unreal! Coffee/tea, sweets. Little grocery store attached. WOW! I mean really WOW! Can we please make all the rest stops in the USA like this? You do have to pay CHF 1,00 for the bathroom, but you get a receipt and can use that towards the restaurant. It's cafeteria style so you can go around and fill up your plate. They also have kids selections and a small kids area to play. I was sad that my son was 10 years old because the highchair is on wheels with trays on the back so you can load up and your child can comfortably sit in the chair in front. So smart! That's the Swiss for you though. Expensive country, but you get what you pay for. The meals here aren't as expensive as in Zurich and quite reasonable. Definitely stop here and have a look, even if not hungry. You will simply love seeing this, it's quite a visual for the eyes as well as the other senses.

My wife and I stopped at this wonderful little restaurant after a visit to Seerenbachfälle. We had…read moresome chicken schnitzel and a wurst. Everything tasted really good. The other great thing about the restaurant was the ambiance & the service. The owner was exceptionally nice (and patient with us as we attempted to use our German). The surrounding mountains and a short walk to the lake also made it gorgeous.
