Convenience food ? etc Believe me saying , that weve found nothing of all that issues ! Surrounding condition: 70 % occupied on a sunday afternoon ! anyhow : Entry : Started with a warm and professional welcome. Handing over the menu taking the order in no time (drinks) 25 minutes to study the menu (recommendation ,instead of handing over the menu just ask the guest what he likes, we believe its on the menue somewhere ;-) ) Order (time to serving about 20 min. very good) : salad ( fresh and tasty) good pancake (freshly cooked i guess no frozen somewhat) excellent main: childrens schnitzel excellent BLT sandwich excellent sliced beef with rice (ordered with baked potato but recommended to served with rice + add. potato point out again again excellent knowlege of the menu) jaegerschnitzel (asked for no creamy sauce, only mushrooms recommended with onions + mushrooms + spicy bernaise*) excellent as wellps : spicy bernaise sauce was warm which is not typical in surroundings of hanover restaurants (for bad example see as well feed for Langenhagen Steakfarm)dessert: childrens voted for ice cream , recommended by service that one cup is enough for both of them (quite professional .) In a nutshell: our recommendation : whatever you expect from an traditional restaurant- pub near hanover, you`ll find it in Gehrden. Again pointing out that, despite of the very young service crew, most of the high price restaurants already visited, they may learn a lot from this young crew what service could mean. I'd give it a 3.5 really. It was right next to the hotel and I was not wanting to go into…read moredowntown. The waiter was cordial, the steak was very good. House wine was just OK. Not very crowded, but it was a Monday night. I'd go back if I stay here at this hotel again.
