I do receive their 4-6 text/email appointment reminders, definitely not a communication issue. I show up for my son's scheduled appointments, and they claim they called me and cancelled the appointment. I checked my phone, no missed calls, no voicemails, no cancellation text, or emails. We booked the 5PM appointment, and they repeatedly canceled it so they can close their office early. It's completely unprofessional. Now my children are going over 9 months for their dental cleaning and check-up. Avoid. Go somewhere else.

This inconsistency was perplexing and led me to avoid this practice. It's fortunate I recognized their approach early on. From the receptionist who greeted the kids when we walked in, to the hygienists, to the dentist, everyone was warm, welcoming, and great with the kids. Having a room that can accommodate up to 3 patients at a time meant that both kids could be seen simultaneously, which limited our wait time. Being in the same room with both kids during their cleaning and check-up made me feel comfortable as well. (When my kids were little I had to choose which child to be with.) I was really pleased with the practice and would recommend it to anyone looking for a wonderful pediatric dental practice.

My child was referred here by out dentist for a dental procedure where they recommended my seven…read moreyear old get 4 caps on baby teeth as an oral procedure (our dentist does not complete oral surgery on children). We did the procedure, everything went great, they were paid the $4,000 for the procedure. We went to our follow up appointment, everything healed nicely. We continued to see our regular dentist for the next 2 years with regular checkups, no cavities, and three of the 4 caps fell out with no issue. The last cap was difficult to come out when it fell out, it had a horrible odor, my son immediately got a fever, and then within two days developed half a dozen oral blisters on his tongue around the capped tooth area. His gums became inflamed and bloody. After a week of saline washes, mouthwash, peroxide cleaning and lots of oral hygiene we felt we needed to call the dentist. We called Sunshine since the issue was a result of the capped tooth. When we called the receptionist informed me that the capped tooth had fallen out and they had nothing to do with the things going on in his mouth and that we should wait a little longer. She then told us she could get us an appointment in 4 weeks. I told her the only reason I was calling was because my son has never had anything like this happen and it appeared to happen immediately after this cap fell out. She asked if we were seeing the dentist regularly and maybe it was a result of not seeing the dentist. I told her we go every six months to our regular dentist, upon which she told me again, since the cap fell out it was not their issue and they could see him as a new patient but couldn't guarantee they would be able to do anything. Needless to say, called our regular dentist back and they got him in within the same day. Don't give this place your money for oral surgery! Ask your dentist for another referral.

She said you'd then have to also pay for any X-rays etc out of pocket too. We have a family of 5 and I don't want to pay $170 upfront for everybody and then I would have to contact my own insurance myself to ask for reimbursement. I was at green valley dental the other day picking up my X-rays and the place was EMPTY. It's a shame, I know they used to be so busy they'd be closed every Friday, maybe they can afford to lose customers and get rid of some staff? Whoever is their business manager is not great, poor choice!

I saw him when he gave me two different colored on one Tooth ... So I just kindly requested the female dentist Lisa again, and he told me to look elsewhere to get my dental work done. To say that I am disgusted is an understatement. This place is disgusting, rude, inconsiderate, pushy, and my tooth and gums hurt for days after getting it filled every single time! i've also been incorrectly, build numerous times, and has been hours on the phone with my insurance company, which I just looked past because as a busy mom of two young children it was the most convenient place for me to go to, and it's a big hassle to get all of your records sent to another dentist but this is probably for the best.
