The piece of metal couldn't be extracted, and I was sent back to Dr. Katz to extract the tooth. Not only did I have to endure the pain from the infections but had to pay the specialist for the amount my insurance did not cover. When I complained to Dr. Katz about the broken wire, he said, "You always take that risk." I stated that I didn't think I should pay for any of the extraction procedure. Dr. Katz did accept my insurance payment and did not charge me for my portion of the extraction procedure.

During the second cleaning I was told I would need multiple fillings (which I kept procrastinating...) During the 3rd cleaning the new dentist said I did not need any... (to give benefit of the doubt, maybe every dentist is different...? But I felt like the previous dentist was just trying to get money out of me! -They were VERY hesitant to give a referral for a wisdom tooth extraction to anywhere but one specific place (which didn't take my insurance) Once I finally jumped through all the hoops for them to finally release my information to who I was asking them to, they only sent part of my record and I had to get X-rays redone at the place I was getting my wisdom teeth out because they "didn't have it" -During my 3rd cleaning they took the X-rays again because the "didn't have them" How do you misplace X-rays...? ‍ - the new dentist was really demeaning, mansplained EVERYTHING to me, even restated something I literally just said, and used my name every other second thinking he was "connecting with me." I did not like it! But I was thankful he retook the X-ray "for free" (not my fault they misplaced it though...) and did not lie about my filling so that was nice... mixed reviews on him -Nail in the coffin, my last appointment was 7/22 and i have not heard from them since (except to cancel a cleaning 1/23 because I decided not to continue with them...!) All of a sudden I get a collection notice in the mail saying I owe them money for my last cleaning.... I called to ask why I didn't get a bill or a call or anything. They claim they sent 8 bills before sending to collection but I did not get 1... Needless to say: proceed with caution. She had her mouth open and they already put a device in her mouth. The doctor decided he wasn't going to work on her and said I can't work on her if she does move (she wasn't moving and was hooked up to nitrous) we were seen for a LASER filling. At this point he stood up and left the room, with the assistant repeating "we see this everyday it's not going to work". My daughter was laying back completely still under nitrous- might I add. I asked- so you're going to make her come back again and after starting a service and saying you won't work on her when she has a few tears? (First filling) She was upset that they stopped, I told her we'd have to come back and try again. Then- we go to leave and I ask the assistant as we walk out now what, I schedule an appointment next week to try again? And she says no-the doctor won't want to see her back for six months at least. I said for a filling!? How do they know her tooth won't hurt by then? The lack of caring, patience and time they give is absurd for a pediatric dentist. My daughter was calm and ready outside of having some normal fears for her first ever cavity. Had they taken a moment to slow down instead of storm off, she would have been fine moments later. Instead, she started crying even more because I told her we would have to come back AGAIN. Extremely unprofessional and so disappointed. I DO NOT recommend this place for fillings. While still on the phone she did state "you're leaving a google review so you wouldn't be a good fit here" I guess only good reviews are appreciated by staff, but REAL reviews are appreciated by the public. I probably have had maybe two sentences of conversation with the dentist over these years as he acts like it is painful to talk to you and he spends less than 5 minutes with the patients. The hygenists are friendly and they will admit that Dr. Sicher prefers for the staff to speak with and explain things to patients. The real pain comes with procedures that he rushes through without adequate analgesia and then again when you get the bill. They charge more for procedures than I have seen any dentist charge and you get maybe 1/3 of this back from insurance if you're lucky. They will not hesitate to cancel or reschedule you the day of an appointment and the office staff is not friendly, accommodating, or apologetic when they jerk you around with scheduling even after your child has taken off school for the visit. If you are looking for a personable practice, keep looking as we are doing now.

They always seem to be "closed" when you call even though it says on google that they are open. Overall, there are better dentists to go to that will give more detailed check ups and customer service.
