Philip Greenwood goes over safety procedures and proper technique. He helps you every step of the way to assure you pull end up with a beautiful glass paperweight. You choose your colors, pick from a few designs and get busy. About 20 minutes later you're done. Then Peter takes the vet and properly cools the glass and polishes the base. Just understand you don't leave with the finished product. You need to come back the next day to pick up your masterpiece. I'm sure Peter will mail it to you if nece$$ary. Also note this is not a walk in experience. You need to call ahead and make a reservation. Peter has a couple of sweet dogs on the premises, so if you have a fear of dogs be forewarned. For about $48 you have a one of a kind experience and something you can be proud to display. Peter is kind. Patient. Friendly. And extremely gifted. The process of creating our pieces was performed smoothly, as the owner Peter was super helpful and gave clear instructions - if there was any trouble or questions, he reacted promptly. In all, I really enjoyed my experience here and would love to revisit to create another piece to add to my decor.

I knew I had to visit after lunch. They had a lot of plants half off as you walked in so I grabbed a couple of them. They have a lot of different varieties and choices of plants. They also offer everything from baskets to fake trees and animals. I love the waterfall as you walk in. I could hear it. There is an upstairs with a lots of great stuff. They even have a place you can sit. The owner was very nice. She talked to my son while I looked upstairs. She even gave him a flower to give to me. They close at 3:00 and I didn't know that and it was 3:30 when we left. I look forward to going back and looking around longer.

I was a bit intimidated at first when I walked in with my family since the art pieces are so delicate and the gallery was pretty quiet. Kim greeted us instantly and made us feel so welcomed -- and we set off to explore after learning a bit more about the gallery. The gallery is two-stories high, and you're able to get an AMAZING view of the Chihuly chandelier from the second-floor opening. The art pieces on display were incredible and featured artists like Martin Rosol, David Huchthausen, Lino Tagliapietra, and many others. It was my first time seeing a lot of their art up close and I would recommend coming to this gallery if you're interested in exploring different types of glass art. I wish I had checked in on Yelp for the free catalog! Remember to do that if you visit.

When you walk in it's like being in a cooks store but the real surprise is in the back of the store. There is a lady who is selling these mini cupcakes that are to die for. They are called Barrington Bites and it is a must have when you go to Great Barrington.
