I had a traumatic and very difficult delivery, which I attribute to many factors, one being Dr. Service's lack of attention and hurriedness. I expected a difficult recovery, but as my pain became more and more severe as the weeks progressed, I became concerned. I called her office more than once a week for a six week period and was continuously told my pain was normal and was to be expected. I knew something wasn't right, and was hoping another doctor in the practice would be able to shed some light on my issue. I saw another physician for my 6 week postpartum checkup and a growth was discovered. I was told I needed to have surgery, and it was scheduled for the following day. I can't help but wonder if this surgery could have been avoided, had Dr. Service paid any attention to my complaints. I have filed formal complaints with multiple people regarding the lack of care I received. Since this incident, I have (unfortunately) had to phone the after-hours line at her practice, and spoke to her when she was on-call. Instead of acting professional, she immediately became combative and insisted on discussing why I felt it was ok to write a formal complaint. Her behavior is unprofessional, immature, and totally irresponsible. The type of behavior she exhibits belongs in a 5th grade classroom, NOT in medical setting. Please, think twice and do your research (a simple internet search will bring up multiple negative reviews).

She chats with you about everyday things to help you relax. Her exams are painless and efficient. She's the only person to not cause me extreme cramps from the pelvic. She rocks and I will continue to see her for as long as she practices. I cannot say enough good things about her, and the administrative staff are great as well. That is really rare in my experiences with medical offices. See Bonnie if you're looking for a new practice! I like this location, can't speak to the staff at the Schenectady office as I've never been to that one.

I am happy that everything turned out even better than I expected. I am thrilled to have found a new OB/GYN, one that treats me with compassion and courtesy. He is an expert in his field and I respect and appreciate his guidance. He believes in getting to root cause as opposed to just treating symptom - but is willing to do both to ensure the comfort of his patients. I think he is an outstanding doctor!

He listens carefully and patiently to any concerns and takes notes on everything discussed (questions, answers, instructions) and he gives you a visit summary every time. There is a lot of information to take in and having the summary is very helpful. He also has very convenient Saturday hours - so if you have a busy schedule, you don't have the added stress of taking time off work for an appointment. Top notch care!

But I would like to complement Dr. Kristine Klein (who had been recommended by my wonderful primary physician Dr. Holly Cleney). Dr. Klein listened to all my concerns and anxieties, counseled me with great patience, and when time was right performed an elective hysterectomy with great results. Her "bedside manner", patience, and woman-to-woman understanding have been very beneficial to me. This has been a very positive experience (after I had fired 2 other GYNs in a different practice).
