Had a small chair reupholstered. Material used had a sheen to it. One arm had sheen going one way, other arm had sheen going the other way. Also, the buttons were not placed straight on back of chair. Called to have it put right. It was picked up and owner said he would fix it. I had an antique chair and two crate and barrel chairs reupholstered. Brian did a fantastic job and no way could I have bought new chairs of that quality for the price to reupholster. I am thrilled at how nice they are and how quickly he got them done (in one week) Brian stands by his word and helps you find a reasonable price fabric. I would recommend Skyline Upholstery to anyone needing an upholsterer. I took a small rocking chair to be reupholstered that my grandfather had made for me. It was over 60 years old and in sad shape. He put in new padding, webbing and recovered the chair. It looks beautiful - like it had just been made. If I could leave zero stars I would. Super expensive with the owner saying things like "I don't know if you got these at a garage sale..." And "we wasted our time" working on my cushions. Really anxious to take my money and very rude. Abusive, really, of the relationship between business person and customer. read more

I need a chair re-upholstered. I work 8-5 M-F and saw they had 9-1 Saturday hours. Really wanting to get the chair professionally re-done, I stopped by at noon on a Saturday (sunny day, not in winter) and the shop was closed. I would not waste my time again. If they don't want the business, then let them go under. read more

I have to kind of disagree with the prior reviewer. I had to wait a while because my job was kind of small - just one chair. I too had my own fabric and had found an IKEA base which was the perfect shape. But their quality is excellent and when I consider the cost of the labor versus the cost of materials, I considered it a fair price. Skyline/Brian's price was not cheap but they did an incredible job lining the pattern up perfectly. and the chair looks fantastic. (though I had to ask for the arm covers and since they were so busy I am waiting for those.) I trust them to do great work and when you have invested in expensive fabric you need to be able to trust them. Skyline had previously recovered two over-sized club chairs with rolled arms for me. They put in these great pleats on face/back of the arms and they still look great probably about 10 years later. (I am only going to replace them because I am redecorating and going with different style.) read more

I would check other shops. The reason I say this is because I thought their price was outrageous (esp. since I had purchased the fabric) and they didn't even make arm covers with the additional fabric. I thought that was a given. read more
