Initially she responded and we were supposed to speak over the phone but I never heard back so I followed up. She then did and we ended up speaking. I asked her to send me an invoice so we can lock in the date but she didn't for a while so I followed up again. She then did. Then the week of our scheduled photoshoot I saw the weather wouldn't be good on our shooting day and I texted her to hop on quick phone call to discuss further and potentially see how we can make it happen or pick a couple other shooting day options. Again no response for days who knows if I didn't reach out maybe longer. I reached out a third and final time to request a refund which I haven't received yet. I'm baffled by the fact that Mandy is running a business and lacking basic good communication, I've been repeatedly experiencing a lack of responsiveness in this short time of working together which has left wondering, kind of stressed and certainly taking all the joy out of it for me all while being in my last trimester of my pregnancy. She specializes in working with pregnant people and new moms, I just don't understand the lack of consideration and professionalism. Save yourself the headache and work with another photographer. I wish I did, now I'm running out of time hoping to find someone else to work with for a maternity shoot while still pregnant all last minute. Quite Upsettin!

It felt like a very bad experience to see all your amazing photos and have them blocked, after a very costly upfront fee. Our family photo shoot ended up costing us $750.

The entire photo session took just under an hour, and the location was under the Oak Island pier to keep us out of the afternoon sun. The day was enjoyable and fast paced, and Chris let us suggest any poses we wanted! Only a few short days after the photo session, I was emailed a link to the pictures and a week later received the original files to download to my computer. While viewing the photos, there were some adjustments that could have been addressed during the actual photo session in regard to attention to detail (i.e. Squinty eyes, crazy hair, sunglasses on/off) that made me somewhat disappointed with the outcome of the photos. The day was enjoyable, and the less than stellar review is due to the minor mishaps in the photos that could have been addressed during the photo session.

Since I was in my 3rd trimester of pregnancy, I was happy to see she made the whole photo shoot process so smooth. She had an awesome makeup & hair artist available that you could use & we had a consultation to go over the location, what I expected, & I got to try on various outfits to wear. That saved me time & money from finding an outfit(s) to wear. I asked to have a photo shoot in a location she had never shot before nor was it the type of place she usually shoots. It was awesome to hear she had went to the location before our photo shoot to find good spots. Photo shoots can feel awkward sometimes, but she really directed the shoot. She was efficient with our time & had poses for my husband & I to do. After the photo shoot, you meet with her again to choose your photo package & to see your photos for the 1st time. A trusted colleague of ours shared Matt's info. and after a bit of a wonky initial online communication request though Matt's insta or website (a bit foggy which!), we were able to get Matt on a mission.
