All the reviews are true, these guys are thieves. They have 3 locations in Florence and they're out there to rip off tourist as much as they can. After carrying dollars around Europe we decided to exchange it to the Europe just to empty up our pocket. They could've told us they charge 40% to convert it into Euro if under a certain amount. After we saw how little we got we told them to cancel the transaction but they refused to. This place is not doing business ethically or honestly. No wonder their competitor across the street have a long line and not even a soul at their venue... Business like this would die fast if you're out there to scam people and not making an honest living. read more

Scam outfit - I join the club of being ripped off. I have my receipt for the exchange and they tacked on over 18%! I am disputing the charge with my bank and let's see what they say about the non-disclosure of fees. I will aggressively pursue this for a refund for the differential. read more

Warning! Do not go near this place. They quoted me 160 euros for $235.00. When I told them to forget it that they were way too high they changed their price to 160 euros for $200.00. Used my debit card and got a "cash disbursement" receipt verifying the transaction for the agreed upon $200.00 with "SPECIAL DISCOUNT" stamped on the bottom. Got home and reviewed my charges and discovered they charged me the $235.00 plus an additional $7.07 in a separate transaction. Do not go here unless you want to get ripped off. read more

Do not go there it's a tourist trap. They do not tell you but there is a 9.90 fixed fee plus a 19,90% !!! fee for changing your currency.... this is the worst place to change your money, they don't even tell you about the fees until the transaction is done and they wont't refund you! It's a shame that some companies do business like that! read more

For money I got on April 3, 2017 I was charged $518.63 (US Dollars) on my Visa card for E 400.00 (euros). At the exchange rate that was going at that time, of 1.068 dollars per euro, this works out to a fee of $91.35. YES, a fee of over ninety dollars for a transaction of four hundred euros. ATMs are much better. Later the same week, also in Florence, I got E 200.00 (euros) from an ATM machine. The exchange rate was the same as with these thieves, but the fees (total of 2 separate fees) were $11.50 (US dollars). One of these fees would have been double for E 400.00, one would have been the same. If I had gotten E 400.00 from the ATM, the fee would have been $18.00. There you have it: To get E 400.00 you can pay these crooks $91.35 in fees, or pay an ATM $18.00 in fees. Never again. P.S. I looked at their website. It has a father-and-son-founder story and glowing verbiage about their values. It's a charade. read more

Huge scam. Florence location tried to charge me a 20% fee on top of a eur20 fee - tried to give me EUR188 for my USD300. I threatened to call police and we settled on EUR230. They are thugs. read more

On 9/18/2013 I had the same thing happen to me. They quoted me a rate and said "charge as much as you can on your credit card... the rate is better".... Bull$%^#%$$. I didn't realize until I saw the charge on the credit card.......they had charged me over 30% and that transaction almost overdrafted my bank account back home. I saw these offices all over venice and Florence and wanted to throw something at each and every one and scream with outrage! SCAM, SCAM, SCAM !!!!!!!!! I intended to use an ATM at the airport as I had done years ago, only to find a sign on the ATM that is was not working and a note saying "go to Best and Fast to get money"....right.... read more

This place is outrageous. They charged me 142 euros to withdraw 700 from my account. I asked about the fee and commission before I withdrew the 700 euros and they told me that the only fee applied would be from my own bank and the exchange rate that my bank applies when I convert money to foreign currency. It was all lie. Later I found out that they had charged me 842 euros. When I contacted them to complain about the fee, they told me that the money (fee) they charged me was a standard service everywhere in Italy, but they omitted to tell me this when I asked specifically about it at the airport. YES THIS PLACE IS A SCAM. The exchange rate posted on the board is correct but when you get your euros they deduct a fixed fee of 4.50 euros which is okay with me. They have to make some profit....but they also charged me 19.90 euros as commission. WHAT A RIPPED OFF. I exchanged $100 at the Santa Maria Novella Station branch and GOT ONLY 57.40 euros. Beware of exchange rates posted vs what you'll actually pay. The rates posted are not accurate because they charge 20% for the currency exchange + 10 Euros. Any ATM can beat this scam. Shame on such a business for such practices preying on people trying to enjoy themselves on holiday. read more

I can't understand how the Italian government allows these thieves to be placed at the airport where many tourists arrive to visit Tuscany. As other reviewers, I was also robbed by these people. They didn't notify me ahead of time of the hidden 20% fee on the exchange plus some other 10 EUR crap fee on top. In total, I got stolen 110 Euros when exchanging just over 600 USD. As others, I tried to cancel the transaction but they obviously didn't allow it. I will obviously never go there again and I will try as much as possible to warn others from never falling on the same scam. Disgusting, I really ruined my first day in Italy. read more

They are truly a thieves. They will rip you off by charging 19.90% plus 10.00 Euro as a hidden fee. But you will not know it till they hand you the money and then will not cancel the transaction. I just exchanged $1000.00 USD and got 630.00 Euros, they took almost 200.00 Euro as fee. I even called the police, they came but could not do a thing. These guys are THIEVES... BEWARE!!!! They will take your money over the counter then will take HUGE fees (without telling you before) and then once they give you your money and you get to see the receipt with the 19.9%++++ fees they will not accept a refusal or to cancel the transaction. I just exchanged just $100USD and got back 57Euros (that's about 32% difference from an ATM..... I immediately said I did not accept it and to give me my $100 bill back on their side of the counter and they simply said NO... after yelling, protesting and such, we had no other option but to take our 57 Euros... but not without at least stopping 3 or so other customers from making the same mistake DO NOT USE BEST & FAST CHANGE.... it's a SCAM. read more

This business is unethical and indecent. They are thieves with a store, we went in to exchange my $460, and I lost $130 in the process. Then I said oh no never mind, but she said once the receipt prints, they can't cancel because their boss would think they steal money from the till. This makes zero sense because obviously they would put back the money rate. Then she says in Italy, people read the sign outside so they don't need to disclose the amount of euros you get in return, you already know. Well, when the sign is fake, you don't know until you are told, and before you charge someone $130 just to change their money, you should have the decency to ask them to authorize the transaction instead of complete it without explicit verbal approval. When we went back, she said we could email her boss at a customer care email address, but she doesn't know if he gives refunds because typically people take the money exchange and "go away." This is a dirty establishment and has put a bad taste in my mouth from Italy. I of course will never go back and I hope that you don't either. read more

do not use these people. i was just ripped off 150 euro, i was distracted and did not pay attention, above the total of 30 euro commission they took out over 150 euro, and on the receipt i just looked at there is some strange wording i have been robbed!! do not use best and fast change, they are rip off artists read more
