I ordered by phone for a radio/ backup camera installation. I paid just under 400 and had to wait a week for installation. My appointment was at 11 and I received a text asking that I arrive 5 minutes early. When I arrived the store was not even open until 11. The lady up front rudely placed her hand on my chest to push me out of the store before telling me to go to the back door. I get there and am told the parts are at another location and I was supposed to pick them up. Where was that text? Also , they tell me it was going to cost me an extra 200 because some parts were not ordered. If you call Best Buy in Kennesaw like I did it gives you over to a call center. Overall awful. I had an issue with a Microsoft Surface, where I was not able to switch from one user profile to the other. When I dropped it off, I was convinced to pay the yearly membership fee of $180 because otherwise I'd have to pay $200+ for a diagnostic and Operating System work. I asked the tech if I would have to pay the diagnostic and Operating System work fees if they were unable to fix the computer and he said "No, but I'm 90% confident we'll be able to fix this.", so I signed up for the membership. 4 days later, they call to inform me that they could not complete the repair, and I'm out the $179. I bought a Macbook Pro and some accessories, the next day I had to bring one of the accessories back that was not compliant with the Mac and swap it for a Mac-compatible device that was considerably more expensive but there was a 20% discount "hot deal" if you bought it with a Mac so I thought ok its still more money but worth it. The store manager, Dylin, refused to give me the 20% off because it has to be on the same receipt as the Mac. They told me to return all the HW I bought the day before, get a refund and then rewrite the deal to get the $40 discount. The manager, Dylin, had zero interest in helping and that was it. Well, the end result is that I am going to return my $3000 purchase and go buy it all from the Mac store, but I guess BestBuy doesn't care because I contacted their support line only to get the same answer. They will make you comb through 4+ isles reading barcode numbers smaller than my iPhones text that are 20 digits and may be off by just one. After doing that for over half an hour I couldn't find it. Don't sign up for the Best Buy Total Tech rip-off plan. We were told we would have 100% tech support, service and repair at $199 per year if we signed up after a Macbook pro purchase 5 years ago. When I took my laptop in with a repair question in November they said it was only covered for 2 years, yet they continued to charge our Amex card $199 per year since the original purchase. When I asked why they continued to charge us each year if it no longer covered our purchase, they referred us to a customer service phone number. Upon multiple call attempts for three years worth of refunds ($600) they refused to refund. That is theft people. If you signed up for this plan be aware that it only covers 2 years of protection and DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES allow auto-renew on the coverage because they will steal from you in perpetuity after coverage stops. read more

Last weekend, I purchased several appliances, including a washer & dryer from this location. Having picked the brand & model I wanted, I was told it wasn't in stock at their store. Then I asked about a different brand, around $150 more, but was told it also wasn't in stock. Settled on the first one, which I was told could be delivered on the following Monday, which met my schedule. Upon checking out, several things happened. First, needing to buy the washer hoses and dryer duct, they didn't have the dryer duct, but the "salesman" said to get it from Home Depot (which I did. Then the delivery date changed fry's Monday to Tuesday (not fitting my schedule as requested). Delivery and installation were free, and was detailed on my receipt. So Tuesday comes, with a 7am to 1pm delivery "window," (seriously Six Hours?!?). Their delivery driver & helper show up at noon. See where to install (I think) the units. Then proceed to tell me their ticket instructions do not show installation, only delivery. I show them my receipt showing free delivery and installation. They then proceed to get some "genius" on the phone ( you know the type - useless & sorry you feel that way sir...). First questions why I had to buy a dryer duct from Home Depot (salesman at Best Buy told me to because they were out of stock - but did buy the stainless steel reinforced washer hoses. And the AH HA moment... The useless "genius" part was when he asked Why I didn't buy the electric cord (220 volt) when I bought the washer & dryer? My response as I looked inside the dryer drum & the backside of the dryer "No one told me that it didn't come with an electrical cord. I've Never bought a dryer that didn't at least come with a cord. That's like buying a car that doesn't come with tires or wheels!" "Genius" said some dryers don't come with cords... the salesman must have told you that. You must have signed off on not wanting to purchase a cord. I said first of all, no one said a thing about a cord, I didn't knowing sign anything that said I acknowledged that I didn't want a cord. Then told "genius" that his reference to the "salesman" was not correct, calling that person a salesman was flattery, that obviously that person was incompetent, perhaps short of an idiot. I requested that they secure an electrical cord, which I'd be glad to pay for, and complete the installation today, as I paid for and agreed upon previously as per my receipt. "Genius" says sorry, they can't do that, they're too busy and I'll have to call and schedule for a future date. (I'll have to ask a younger friend for help, as I'm not a young person). You can tell that they are instructed to do whatever is possible to avoid returns...first refuse return; second charge re-stocking fee, say price that comes up is price they will pay if no receipt and it is almost like they make up a low ball price and say that is what the item pulls up at (bullshit when I just bought it two days ago in the store, I just lost my frickin receipt!) and then they refused to refund the tax amount??? WTH? I have never heard of that in my life! I had to fight tooth and nail just to exchange for another item. A bunch of twelve year olds wielding power and authority! I had forgot to change it to him as the person picking up the order. They informed him he was not the person listed. The stare down made him look like a liar. To save face, he texted me and I changed it to him as the designated person picking up the order. He went back to the counter and was looked upon like here we go again. . First time, washer was damaged from one of delivery guy and dryer was missing a bolt ! 2nd time was wait time from 9:00am to 1:00pm ! They did not deliver the washer or dryer! TERRIBLE DELIVERY AND CUSTOMER SERVICE Ordered a new refrigerator and Best Buy had the model. We waited 20 minutes at the store to get someone to order it. Delivery was arranged for a date and time. Got an email the day before to confirm the delivery window, then had zero contact. Ten minutes before the end of the window (6pm) got a quick call from the driver. Be there in 30 minutes. 45 minutes later they finally showed up. Refrigerator needed to be delivered up one flight of stairs as I had informed the salesman when I bought the refrigerator. As soon as the delivery man saw the stairs, he said we can't do it... Don't have enough people to go up the stairs. So, I waited for 6 hrs and 45 minutes for a delivery that was never going to happen. Delivery dispatcher was unable to make any accommodation. Called customer service; they were unable to do anything to reschedule the delivery for a time convenient for me. They did not seem to care that their lack of communication caused the problem. So, I cancelled the entire order and got a refund. Buyer Beware! Just because they have it in stock does not mean that they can deliver it. read more

Two employees were talking with each other about personnel things with their family, one other employee was looking on line at a computer screen. We waited and then asked about some things we wanted, one employee said it was a couple aisles over and walked away talking with the employee about his personnel life. My son in law and I looked at each other, smiled.. then left the store shaking our heads. Yesterday, Dec 2 , I once again came into your store to look at MacBooks and Other Computers. My wife and I waited over 15 minutes for anyone to acknowledge us and even walked around looking for an associate . Your store was not that busy and in fact another older gentleman also commented to us , who was also looking at some high end computers, that he too had been waiting for someone and that customer service at this store was non existent. My wife and I walked to the front of the store and complained to the security desk about the stores customer service and he gave me your card. We drove across the parking lot, had immediate service from Office Depot, and purchased a computer and all accessories including a 3 year extended warranty. In closing our hard earned money and family money spends anywhere and if you fail to give customer service .. we do shop elsewhere .. sad as Best Buy was a great company.
