Oh, Best Buy. So much potential but then it always ends up disappointing you. We were there to look for a part to help our computer, so we knew exactly what we needed but we just needed to know where it was. We were wandering around for a few minutes hoping we could just find it ourselves without any help because Best Buy is not great at that. Since we couldn't find any help, we were forced to find a sales associate. First of all, there were a number of associates on the ground. However: there were three associates helping one person, and the rest of them were wandering around " looking busy " but not helping others needing help. There were SO MANY people who were waiting for help or needed help. The sales associates were literally just speed walking around and doing nothing to help other customers. I ended up getting fed up and asserting myself to one of the sales associates who looked busy and said he was busy, but asked my question and he literally just pointed to where we needed to go. Since the sales associated only pointed to where we needed to go, we still took another few minutes looking for it. When we finally found what we were looking for, there was no selection and we ended up leaving. read more

Best Buy is a hard sell for me. Prices are notably higher than average compared to online options but sometimes you need the item down and you have to make a decision. Other times, they have nice sales that make their prices more competitive. Service is abysmal, every time I've went here I never get any level of service. Staff pretend to look busy and move about mindlessly are RARELY ever go, "How can I help you?". When with a client, they avoid all eye contact with others when in principal they should aim to ensure their client base gets help and make purchases. All in all, about as average as it gets. read more

NEVER AGAIN! I tried reserving an item online. It said it was available in store and that I would have a confirmation email 20 minutes. 2 hours later I get an email cancelling my order because they do not have it in stock. So I did the same thing with a different location, and the same thing happened again. This time it took two hours to get their " confirmation email". I was close to the store so I went to check it out. There is not a single human being they can help you with anything in the store. And the lineup to get to the service counter was 16 people deep. I am never going to Best Buy ever again as long as I live! read more

Don't let the thieves sell you the geek squad shit. The sales rep lie to you about cancelling at anytime but don't warn you about a year before. Then they tell their managers that they never said that. A bunch of two timing reps trying to make it look good on their file. They always try to up-sell you stuff you don't really need but don't give you all the info on it either. They even screwed my son over so I know it wasn't just me. read more

This place is an unnecesary evil. You spend hours in here aimlessly looking for someone to help you, hours hearing about extended warranties, and then queue up in line where the is only 1 cashier. Just a horrible horrible buying experience. Buy on line if you must, come in person only if you absolutely have to - but clear your schedule first! It's not an in/out service. read more

I just had the worst experience with both the Geek Squad and the manager of this Best Buy location. I brought my computer in to be fixed and they wiped my computer of everything; it was completely empty when I came to pick it up. I came in on a Sunday. The tech told me I would lose data on my computer. I said ok, as to me (a non technical, non computer savvy guy) data = files, music, documents. It does not mean the computer will be completely empty. He told me it would take 1-2 days. He called he next day and I came in to find the computer completely blank. For $200+ I lost everything. When my expressed my displeasure, and spoke with both the Geek Squad manager and the store manager, I was offered a 20% discount on Microsoft Office if I chose to purchase it from Best Buy. The store manager told me she could give me a discount on anything else I buy in the store if I wanted. They would not however give me any money back for my computer and both managers said that I should have understood what the tech meant. I found this extremely unprofessional. Most of the people coming for computer help don't understand computers and the techs have the professional responsibility of making sure the clients understand what will be happening. If I were to ask a patient if they are talking any over the counter medications but fail to specify that this includes vitamins or natural products, and there is a drug interaction, I am at fault. Not the patient. I couldn't imagine telling a patient that they should have understood that vitamins are included in what I mean when I say over the counter. If I could rate his store negatively I would. I guess it's my fault for not checking sites like these before taking my business here. I will never buy anything from this best buy again, and frankly, it makes me leery of all of them. **Update** My computer was fixed for no extra cost to me after everything. One service rep, names Ran, very helpful and accommodating. He really was the only redeeming part of my experience with this store. Thank you Ran. read more

I recently bought a laptop from Best Buy and was extremely happy with the service. I had done my research before going and I noted the prices that Microsoft and Dell were offering on their online stores. The sales person, Dhia, was patient, helpful and knowledgeable. He gave me comparable prices to what I found online and also told me that Best Buy would further discount if I found a better price elsewhere within the next 30 days. I also took the Geek Squard service which set up my laptop with Office 365, backup and security software. I picked up my laptop the next day. No waiting for shipping etc which I would have to do if I shopped online. Also, since this system is for my business, I need quick service which I can get by going back to Best Buy. If I need to leave it there for servicing, I get a loaner to use. read more

I actually would give this place minus stars if I could. I went in to buy a new iMac., as it was right near my office.The sales people knew nothing about the products and just read the specs to me, as if I couldn't just read them myself. I chose my computer and went to pay. The sales associate tried to sell me an extended warranty. I insisted on a pamphlet which said clearly $168 for one year. He then proceeded to ask me to sign for monthly withdrawals on my Visa card at $29.99 per month for 3 years!! (I guess that he was hoping that I wouldn't notice) Next, I paid $99 to transfer my flies, etc from my old computer. They transferred the files, but forgot to transfer all my photos, which I only realized when I got home. Next I paid $39 to "set up" the computer, and asked for a few specifics, e.g., install Adobe, my Yahoo my main page, etc. When I got home, Adobe was not installed, they had set up the computer under another name (not my name), they put in a password but didn't tell me what it was, Yahoo was not my homepage etc. All I can say is that I regret having not gone directly to the Apple store, where I will have to go tomorrow to clean up this mess. Best Buy sales people do not know their products, they try to sell you an expensive extended warranty even when you think that you are buying something else and the "Geek Squad" repair and installation service is worse than useless... a waste of time and money. read more
