I currently have an account with best egg and I never missed a payment so my credit is okay it's not bad but they gave me alone I went on looking to see if they are from any type of extended loans any type of offers for me I've never missed the loan now I've had this loan now for about a year and a 1/2 they're gonna decline me in reference to getting a credit card or a second loan I've never missed a payment I would never recommend anybody to use best egg for any type of loan services period they are unprofessional I don't know what platform they're using cause it's ridiculously dumb I make good money my credit is not bad I make my payments on time every month never miss the payment And I don't know why I would never recommend anyone to this company period because they are incompetent they are not looking at the real point where people are making their payments on time with no type of issues no type of problems no type of light payments and you don't get you're going to decline the individual alone that they're looking 42 pay a debt consolidation which is crazy when I pay this loan off I will pay it off and I will go on every platform and let everybody know best egg is not a good company to get along with read more

It seems that I am not the only one issuing a bad review. I applied for flex pay via my apartment portal. I was approved and received confirmation that my rent would be paid on the 1st. It was not. I tried to call on the 7/2 and was on hold for 21 minutes. I tried to call on the 3rd and was on hold for 35 minutes. I tried emailing and only recieved bot responses. Not a human in site. In the meantime my rent has still not been paid. I have also sent a reveiw to the Better Business Bureau. read more

I have always made on time payments with best egg . I now have 2 issues that they will not resolve . I had made a payment and they come back with NSF . That is not true I had more than enough to cover their charge . Then they say I gave them a false account number . I have made on time payments with them and never did they decline my payment , I contacted my bank and they said the payment was made and it was deducted from my balance , Now they are charging me a NSF charge . Dishonest no effort made to correct and could care less . 2nd issue I bought a service online but canceled it . I was charged twice for the same product . They started charging monthly membership fees and cannot explain why or any details. They basically will waive one if you tell them you are cancelling and could care less if you want to leave. Was told it was a financial decision made to basically better the company. read more

Best Egg has decided to start charging junk fees with little notice. I called them and even their own people have no clue what the junk fees are for. I finally was able to get a representative who let me know that Best Egg believes it can unilaterally and retroactively changes its fees and contracts with NO notice. I have a best Egg credit card and they are now charging fees and interest equal to about 500% (Yes, about five HUNDRED percent annually). The reason given for the rapid increase is solely that they want more money and nothing I did. They also have done away with the grace period for people who pay their account in full each month so that their exorbitant interest applies to their fees as soon as they charge them. They also threaten to RUIN the credit of anyone who will attempt to pay off and cancel their account. read more

My loan was 3k, as I was nearing the end my daughter died. The pymt of $103 wasn't made. I was in the middle of planning her funeral, filing debt consolidation, and finally moving. Best Egg called me relentlessly. Day and night, seven days a week. After talking with them and explaining everything to several representatives the calling didn't stop. And finally after paying off the balance the calls didn't stop. Grief and harassing phone calls don't do well together. Their service was horrid. Please don't use this company. Only time I've ever been turned down for a loan. Customer service was also snarky and confused. Wasted time and a credit check on them. Beware of doing business with this company or any debt consolidation loan company. It is a predatory situation when your loan has a higher APR than your current in-debt APR. No matter how desperate you are, don't bury yourself in more debt to get out of debt, it could take a lifetime to pay it off. Best Egg quoted me an APR of 23 percent, plus origination fee with a 681 credit score. Absolutely ridiculous. Way higher rate than current situation. read more

Took out a personal loan, made 2 payment, then the day after the payment called best Egg to find out what my payoff was, then called and spoke to a very 'Super' CSR and she helped me payoff the loan. Remember, try to pay off the loan the day after you have made a payment, because interest starts to accrue, so enjoy the ride, Love the CS staff, I'll be back if the need arises. read more

This company is the worst financial provider of installment loans I have ever done business with in my life. I applied for a loan for $35,000 with BestEgg as I borrower with a very high credit score (800+) and high income. I was initially approved for a loan and they stated they were ready to disburse the funds on my loan after verifying my income. I submitted my income promptly and expected the loan to disburse quickly thereafter. Instead, I received a response from Best Egg that they believed my income from my tax return was approximately 15% less than what I had put down. I found out over the course of three calls to customer service that BestEgg believed my income was lower because they were ignoring a large portion of my 1099 income for absolutely no reason whatsoever. I pointed out to the customer service agent that my income that I reported matched the "total income" listed on my Form 1040 (what nearly every lender uses), but they refused to fund the loan without pretending my income was the amount they had erroneously calculated. While I was really frustrated at this point, the customer service agent said she could reprocess the application at the income figure that they were pretending I earned. I decided that since it was likely they would approve the loan for simply a slightly lower amount, that I would reapply as she was suggesting. However, the customer service agent said she would need to "void" my original offer to do this, which I basically had to do as otherwise they wouldn't fund the original loan "approval" anyway. Shockingly, when she put my income figure into the loan application process this second time, it didn't just come back for less money than the $35,000 I had applied for and been approved for a moment ago--it was rejected entirely! Stated differently, my loan application was rejected with this company after just being approved and only because their underwriters don't understand what "total income" is on a tax return enough to calculate how much money I earn properly. This seems fraudulent to me, as this entire process was a gigantic waste of time and it was clear that they simply didn't want to fund the loan after all the time and energy wasted on applying (and being approved for) the original loan. I will never do business with this company ever again and BestEgg's claim that they do "same day" funding is a total and complete lie as far as I'm concerned. As stated previously, I am a borrower with perfect credit and high income, so if they can't approve my loan, they likely won't approve anyone for a loan pretty much, and certainly not at a speed that is "same day" for funding. I do not recommend doing business with this company at all. I have had far better experiences with both SOFI and Discover Bank when it comes to personal lending and at better interest rates and overall terms. read more

I don't get the other reviews. I had no trouble being approved for a loan. I received the money in my bank account within 2 days. After making several payments on time, I was approved for a second loan and received those funds the next day. read more
