I immediately called the creditor and told them i thought i had paid off the bill. I understand i had late fees. If you look at my payment history, you will I try to be always on time and payments in full wach month. she offered to knock off 30. i was grudging grateful. i know it was my fault. However, i never got my monthly statement from academy and the 2 phone calls i received were from comenity bank. there was never any reference to Academy. i thought the calls were a scam. Now, after paying off the bill, I received an additional bill for 33 more dollars. i think this is fraudulant and unnecessary. I will be closing the Academy account out and letting people know of this experience. I am Very Unhappy with Comenitys business practices and lack of ethics.
