I don't need a lot of glamour or glitz, but a little thought or effort could be put into the front room. Lastly, tip is mandatory and set at $20. I didn't know this and only brought $85 with me. $70 for the massage, and $15 for the tip. However, my masseuse was disgruntled and kept telling me "$20! $20!"when I handed her the $15. I was perplexed, and she explained that the $70 goes to the owner. I understand English isn't their first language, but maybe they can have a sign explaining the money part. I felt horrible afterward, thinking my hardworking masseuse only earned $15.

Upon entering the therapy room, everything was welcoming and comfortable. Lily had snacks and drinks if I was interested, and we sat down to chat and find out what my body needed to feel better. After some conversation, we had it figured out and it was time for the massage. When Lily returned to the room, everything was set for relaxing. There was great, relaxing music playing in the background, and the room was dark and the table comfortable. I schedule a 90 minute massage, and Lily takes time before starting to make sure she is ready to help you feel better. That is not taken out of your 90 minutes, so don't worry if she is asking questions before she starts. Lily is great at knowing what is needed to relax your muscles and help you relax in general. She will keep in communication to make sure the pressure isn't too much, or too little. After 90 minutes, you will feel relaxed and rejuvenated without question. Now that I've been going for several months, I thought it was time to share my experience. On my first visit, I must admit that the building initially made me question whether I was at the right place when my GPS told me to turn into the parking lot. However, the sign on the parking lot confirmed it was correct, as it's an older building from the 70s with a warehouse behind it, which is typical for this area of Eugene. Once inside, I quickly felt comfortable and knew I was in the right place. The air was filled with a pleasant incense scent, not too strong to be unpleasant or obnoxious, and the hanging curtains added to the Thai ambiance. Most of the time, they played rhythmic drums music in the background, which was soothing and relaxing, while other times, it was more relaxing meditation music with flutes. When Tiffany, my massage therapist, first introduced herself, she asked me to remove my shoes and led me back to the massage area. The first thing she did was check my range of motion and assess how I was feeling in the areas where I mentioned the most discomfort. She also asked if any places needed to be avoided. This range of motion check is done regularly during follow-up visits to show the improvement over time and helps her determine the areas to focus on to improve. Next, she asked if the heat on the mat was at an appropriate level. Since Thai massage is done fully clothed, I had worn a loose-fitting shirt and sweatpants, and I found the mat more comfortable than a traditional massage table, especially when it came to turning over. Tiffany's Thai massage technique lets her use her hands in new ways, getting even deeper into the muscles. But she always makes sure the pressure is just right. Sitting during the massage might seem a bit odd at first, like during my first one, but it's actually super effective and has really helped with the pain in my legs. She also uses heated stones, which have given my upper and lower back lasting relief. I've only had the pleasure of working with Tiffany, but I've heard from other staff that they're all very careful to keep the pressure comfortable. Overall, I'm really happy with the results I've seen and can honestly say it's made a noticeable difference in my daily life.
