Today was not a good experience. I called about 3 months ago because the tensioner on my lawn…read moremower needed to be replaced. I gave the part number and was told the minimum charge was $75 per hour even though it may not take an hour. I understand that and said that would be fine. I was told with the COVID stuff going on it may take some time to receive the part so I ordered the part and sure enough it took a while. 3 weeks ago I took the mower and part in to be repaired. Today I was told it would take 5 to 6 hours to do the work at $80.00 per hour. When I questioned I was told that I must not trust them and should just pick up my mower. Cody Homestead told me to leave the store. Cody told Bobby to charge me a half hour $37.50(For which I ask for a complete reason for the charge. I was not told of a just look at charge. I was quoted a fix charge)... Seems they would make more if they fixed it and tried to satisfy a customer that has spent thousands in the past with them.... I'll update next week after I pick it up.

I can be handy with hand tools but being a nerd, messing with small engines is out of my league so I called Simply Grace and dropped off my mower. Simply Grace is open from 6pm-10pm so it was really convenient since I work days and am usually busy. I was able to drop it by on the same day I called to inquire about the repair. It was late so I just left it with Glen. I was able to pick it up a few days after with the throttle control fixed. Glen will fix just about anything small engine related and I definitely recommend Simply Grace.
