The school has been wonderful! It is small so you really get to know everyone there and it is obvious they all care so much about the children. They focus on learning through play and also have additional enrichments like guest readers, a dentist that visits to talk about oral health, fire station trip, etc. My son is learning to write upper and lower case letters and numbers this year and is doing so well! They have a lovely outdoor playground and an indoor gym so the kids can run and play even in inclement weather. They really make learning fun and engaging for the kids and my son is so happy and excited to go to school each day. I would absolutely (and have!) recommended CFCNS to anyone with a preschool or pre-k aged child. I can't wait until my younger child can attend here as well!

The other improvement I would like to see is online communication between the teachers/director via their site or e-mail because working parents do not always have time to call and speak to them while at work. Upon entering the daycare at age 1 we saw him transforming into independed little person and it was fascinating to see how much knowledge he brought home each day at such young age. Any learning was incorporated into fun games or activities and some of the teachers we had should have gotten an award for going all out on transforming the classroom based on the theme fo the month. Baby #2 entered CA at age 4 months and I had absolutely no fear or hesitation trusting the staff with my child. Those ladies are on top of their game and they keep you informed with messages and photos throughout the day. Even infants have music and yoga classes! Side note director and the staff were extremely patient and supportive when my kid was going though prolonged potty training transition, delayed speech, etc. They also recognized and encouraged his positive qualities. Each child is different and unique and from my observation staff recognizes and utilizes different approaches. My son's class graduated from CA knowing all pre-K material (based on conversations with other parents) and all the learning was done though play, songs and fun. If a child gets upset the daycare is closed for the weekend or holiday, that pretty much tells you how they feel about going there :)
