Every time we've come, they've added something new: flooring, window coverings, lamps, art, furniture. It's not fancy but I always have a great night's sleep there. It's the cleanest place we've ever stayed, no matter the price point, even though it's pretty basic. The owners and staff are extremely friendly and pleasant and they work hard to make the place appealing.

We couldn't stay in the first rooms we were assigned (#131, #133) because the ceiling and walls in the bathrooms were in such terrible shape. We asked to move to the second floor (#201, #203) and the manager was kind in accommodating us. The second floor rooms were in better shape, but grout and caulking in the bathroom had some mold and the ceiling showed signs of water damage. We were truly very sorry to see that Paris' only decent hotel had fallen into disrepair. I sincerely hope that the management has taken note of the maintenance issues and will remediate the problems. Paris is an amazing town and deserves a good hotel.

However, my husband had to request 2 new lightbulbs, to replace 2 very dim lightbulbs. We also noted that both the sink and shower soap dispensers (grey) were completely empty. Thank goodness there was ONE small bar soap to use. We also were surprised that none of our garbage cans had bags in them. Saw bags in all other cans, outside our room. Even bags available for doggie doo outside. Strange. We inquired about the bags missing and front desk told us "There were no rules specifying the use of garbage bags, so we don't use them". We certainly feel bad for the Cleaning folks! Seems a bit unsanitary too (especially in bathrooms?!). KUDOS to hardworking Joshua, who was scrubbing in the hallway, but stopped to bid us safe travels! Also, KUDOS to Jenna at front desk! She was just so nice and insisted on helping me to my room and wanting me to move my car to make it easier for me to leave in the morning. My room was clean and ready for me and the bed just hugged me in all the right places. The rooms are updated with comfy beds, flat screen TVs, tons of cable channels, and just an overall relaxing feel. The hotel is quiet and non smoking, so it is easy to just relax and let go of the day! I cannot wait to take advantage of the breakfast tomorrow. But, I am definitely going to miss the feel of this hotel! Such a great find for work and just getting away!

My lone complaint was that we stayed here during renovations. They had appropriately provided signage noting that the laundry and gym facilities were closed due to the rehab work going on, but we still had to pay north of $200 for the stay, even with those amenities not be usable. Sort of thought there would be a "pardon our dust" discount. Oh well. The free breakfast in the morning which started at an impressive 6am was excellent. Staffer had it up and running right on time, and the food area was as clean and tidy as I have ever seen with a great selection of items. All in all, a practical place to stay that will soon be a much nicer version of itself.
