We booked two rooms for the four of us, and had plenty of space. Like, normal hotel space. I wasn't doing a gymnastics routine in there or anything, but I felt like we could move around and not constantly be in each other's way. The rate we chose had breakfast included, so we began every morning with baskets of bread, some coffee, fruit, and yogurt. After that, we were loaded up on carbs and caffeine and ready to venture out. We loved the location of the hotel. Several Metro and bus stops close. Restaurants and cafes all over the place. A laundromat a 1-minute walk away (which was good because I only let everyone bring one backpack). It wasn't near any tourist hotspots, so it was quiet and the neighborhood had a nice, laid-back vibe. They have a concierge on-duty 24 hours a day, so there's always someone to welcome you back and offer any assistance you may need. The staff was exceedingly helpful and polite. In the afternoon you can help yourself to coffee, tea, and some packaged biscuits (that my children helped themselves to many times). There's a nice sitting room where you can sit and talk. Or be on your phones if you're pre-teen and angsty about spending so much time with your family. Overall, great place. I'll stay there again when we return to Paris.

One day I needed ice and the front desk ran across the street to get me some. I really appreciated it. The rooms are small but really clean. The price was great and we were only 3 miles away by taxi to the Eiffel Tower. There is also a train station near by. Under the hotel is a nice bakery that has really good Croissants and other deserts. Lots of shopping and cafes in the area. Cute little park across from the hotel that the kids like to play at. Lots of families in the neighborhood. I would defiantly stay here again. We had a really pleasant stay.

Breakfast, which was included in the very reasonable price of the room, was large and very good, but the breakfast room is tiny and cannot possibly fit all of the guests in at once. We had to rise early and consequently got a table, but guests getting up at a more reasonable time had to wait for a table, and we ended up inviting another couple to our already small and crowded table out of sheer pity. We were also irritated by the fact that we had booked a double room but were given a twin room, although I suspect that this was more the fault of the website I used to book our room than that of the hotel itself. Still, it was comfortable and good value, the doors were open 24 hours and the staff were very friendly - we were very grateful to them for keeping our bags for us after we checked out so that we could have the day without lugging them about. A great place for travellers to Paris on a budget, not so much for those who are not.

We were traveling on a budget but not quite "backpacking-hostel-okay with things being grimy" budget. First thing I didn't like was that they had massive construction going on and didn't think to inform the guests. They could have told us as it wasn't the most welcoming experience and even our Parisian cabbie looked concerned for us. Apparently they were under construction for about 4 months prior to to us arriving! Sort of ridic.... The room was fine. Very small but super clean and the cleaning staff did a great job of tidying up for us. One thing I couldn't stand was the bathroom situation which was extremely small and didn't have a shower curtain! What?! The second you turned the shower on the entire bathroom got soaked and took hours to dry off. For someone who is very particularly about clean bathrooms this was not a good experience. We asked the front desk staff to give us some kind of curtain or barrier to stop the water from getting everywhere and they didn't have any idea what we were talking about. I guess shower curtains are very American???? Also there was free wifi but if you left your phone or computer idle for more than two minutes you got disconnected and had to endure a ridiculously long reauthentication process all over again. The location can't be beat, heart of Montparnasse and steps to Saint Michel, but not too loud. It was easy to get pretty much everywhere from the Gaite metro stop and another line is minutes away. There are also a ton of adorable restaurants right in Montparnasse which I wish I had time to check out! Didn't get enough of this neighborhood. We paid about $170-180 per night which is reasonable for Paris and I think it was definitely worth it. Would I stay here again? Quite possibly. Next time I'm in Paris I'd like to stay on the other side of the river but for rive gauche this hotel was a great find.

À proximité de plusieurs restaurant, station de métro / RER, un farmer market. La chambre est petit, mais on me dit que c'est typiquement Paris comme chambre. La clim est très efficace mais elle semble s'arrêter automatiquement après un certain temps. Après 3 nuits, je me rends compte que je dois la rallumer durant la nuit ou le matin. Le lit est très dur et les oreiller très mou. Un dur contraste pour le dos et le coup. Il y a un frigo dans la chambre mais ce dernier est à peine frais. Le frigo est plein d'eau sur la surface intérieur et il n'y a pas moyen d'ajuster la température. Il vient avec 2 bouteilles d'eau qui sont gratuite mais les suivantes sont payantes. La salle de bain est bien. Cependant, le bain douche est très haut. Lorsqu'on en sort, on passe proche de tomber à chaque fois vu la différence de hauteur entre le bain et le plancher, un peu 2-3 marches de différence entre le fond du bain et le plancher. Une bonne pression est disponible pour l'eau. Côté insonorisation, elle est bien entre l'intérieur et l'extérieur. Il y a de la construction directement en face de l'hôtel et on entend presque rien. Entre les chambres, ça semble bien aussi. Cependant, il y a 2 problème. Lorsque les chaise sont déplacer à l'étage, ça fait un bruit monstre dans la chambre. Et comme dans trop d'hôtel, la porte de la chambre n'est pas isolé ni fermé. Donc de la lumière qui entre autour et sous la porte, donc beaucoup de son à travers la porte. On entend très bien les portes qui claque très très fort et te font sauter en plein milieu de la nuit, ou l'ascenseur qui fait son alarme avant d'ouvrir, ou les gens qui marche et parle ou les gens qui monte dans les marches. La salle de bain n'a pas de rideau dans la fenêtre mais elle est est givré. Cependant lorsqu'on veut dormir, il faut fermer la porte si on beaucoup de lumière entre. Côté prix, j'ai eu un deal en ligne 2500CAD pour 8 nuits. C'était dans les moins cher disponible avec une semaine de préavis dans le mois de juillet.

We spent more than we usually do to stay here on our last night in Paris before heading home. What…read morea treat! I heard about this place when it was remodeled, after being abandoned for so long. It's so obvious that a lot of money was spent on this place. The huge pools. There are two. One is indoor, the other outdoor. We were lucky, they weren't crowded. Towels and robes are provided. The indoor pool was warmer. On level -1, the Clarins Spa is located, as well as the steam room, sauna, fitness room and lockers. Huge locker area, which contains lockers, showers, changing room, sauna and swimwear dryer. Fresh robes and towels are on this level also. Our 'Executive King Bed' was spacious. It had a rounded window overlooking outdoor pool, full-size Clarins products, towel heater, outlets on both sides of bed, comfortable mattress pad, memory foam pillows, touch sensitive reading lamps on both sides of bed, separate toilet room and so much more. We felt a bit confused as to how to get from level 2, where our room was located, to level 0, where the pool is located. There's a specific elevator to use. Unfortunately, this elevator is also used by people trying to go to Rooftop Restaurant on Level 4. You could be in your bathrobes with non-hotel patrons wanting to go to dinner. We eventually found the stairs to walk all the way down. We felt that it was a bit circuitous to get to pool area. You will see when you get here. This place is bit far from the major Paris sites. But the Bois de Boulogne and Louis Vuitton Foundation aren't too far away. If you love swimming, this place is a must.

If you are willing to walk uphill, there are a few streets not too far with good restaurants. The hotel decor here is funky and bohemian involving lots of bright colors and velvets (check out the photos, words aren't enough. Even the room keys are massive and have frills.). It is fun to stay in Bohemia for a few days, although there is too much furniture and not enough space. I could not fully open my closet door because it banged into the bed and in order to use the full-length mirror on the inside of its door I had to actually get inside the closet (no joke). The bathroom is also small. Basically, it's a frilly and funky hotel that is small and decent but not luxurious in any way. If you just want a clean place (with a little Montmartre character) to sleep because you're going to be out all day, this place is good, but this isn't a hotel to relax in and spend the day at. The hotel has free internet in the lobby, which is great and people usually take advantage of late at night when they get back, so get a seat before it fills up if you get back first.

The decorations, the room names, and the city view were all fantastic. We stayed in the 'Auguste Renoir' room. Aside from the bed being kinda uncomfortable (two thin, twin size mattresses pushed together), everything else was great. There was a clean shower with good water pressure/adequate temperatures, a window that opened up right on the city street, and plenty of closet space. The street does get very, very noisy at night. We went during the off-season for tourism but there is always something going on in Paris it seems like. It also is close to a nightclub so there is extra noise from that. The 'HandyPhone' was a lifesaver for us, using google maps to get around since our phones didn't work over there. It is free, and you can take it with you when you venture out. The location is amazing. You gotta walk 45 minutes or take the train to get to the Eiffel or some other landmarks, but there's a train station right outside the door. We walked pretty much everywhere else though. There's too many cafe's and restaurants within walking distance to count, and several shopping malls are only a 20 minute walk. The staff were all so nice. They spoke much more English than we do French, so that was helpful. DEFINITELY check out Cafe Aloha and Mmmm Donuts for some great breakfast and latte.

It is a rather small hotel with only about 15 rooms (if I counted correctly). These rooms are small - I don't expect anything else in Paris - but they are very reasonably priced at 130 Euros per room and per night. Wifi connection is included in the price and it's quite stable and fast. (Although I hate the fact that I have to log in every time.) The hotel restaurant serves a small, but free breakfast in the morning: croissants, cheese, ham, yoghurt, jam, fruit salad, cornflakes, coffee, tea and juices.) The restaurant also serves lunch and dinner to the public and in fact it was really busy during lunch time here.) The food is nothing to rave about, solid French cuisine I would say.

The building is clearly centuries old and the rooms carved out of unusual shaped spaces. Our first floor room had the old carved beams in the ceiling, our friends had an "attic" style room on the fourth. The bathrooms worked fine and looked to have been tiled in the 90's, with vessel sink and vanity updates in the last few years. We had plenty of hot water. Both rooms had classic wallpaper, ours very dark with gilt, the other very pink. Our room was rather small but was fine for our needs, out late, up early, we only had the weekend to see Paris. The petite dejeuner was adequate but nothing special, but served in the cutest little stone walled rooms, perhaps a former wine cellar or coal storage basement. We ate there twice for the convenience, but on Sunday had our brunch a short walk away. The front desk staffers were so friendly, spoke English well but were patient and courteous as we tried not to resort to it. The women serving the breakfast were quick to bring us pots of tea or coffee, though everything else was laid out on a counter. There was always a table available whenever anyone came in. The restrooms on this lower level were adorable, the women's scented with the classic Shalimar, as there is a Guerlain shop in the neighborhood. The only unfortunate thing we encountered was that though they advertise the rooms as air conditioned, the units are rather old and not very effective. The staff was unable to adjust them cooler. It was a warm, but not hot weekend in Paris, so opening the big windows at night cooled the rooms right down. I could not have stayed in the room during the warm day, but then, who would want to? There is a Metro stop nearby, many nice cafes and all the attractions of Le Marais. The street is a little noisy at night with all the cafes quite popular with what appeared to be locals and tourists alike. The street washers are a little noisy in the early morning, but this is the heart of a great city, so it was expected. I didn't come to Paris to sleep all that much.

We had to check out after our first night. Upon departing the hotel we were told by the front desk they were "not able to give you a copy of your invoice at this time." Then they asked if they should leave the charge for the night on the card on file. It sounded all innocent enough. The next day, after arriving back home in the U.S., I noticed we were charged for 2 nights instead on 1. Recalling the conversation with the front-desk I reached out and requested the error be corrected. I then received a barrage of statements citing our "booking policy" blah blah blah utterly disregarding the conversation we had with the hotel's employee the day of departure. The main thing to remember here is, A) Do NOT stay here unless you want to have to deal with unscrupulous billing after the fact 2) Do NOT leave the property without getting a copy of all charges and do NOT fall for "we cannot generate an invoice for you now but we will email one later." There are plenty of equally well located Paris hotels where you do not need to be concerned with unscrupulous billing practices and where you CAN trust the word of the hotel's employees. Sad!
